It may be a lot but don't think it will be 1-2 mill. Would think half of what Leonard or Hartman got. Interested to know what Fiske got from FSU albeit that was a year ago

For some reason I remember the scuttle was around 200-250k pay for play. Plus NIL. He wanted to stay close and have his family see him play, when visiting ND, but once they set the market and ND had Cross and Mills, it was over.

I’m sorry I don’t have more info but I’d swear I read here on IE where Pete Sampson said ND was going to get the top transfer DT for next season. I don’t know how he’d have that info or how he’d even know who was transferring.

Back in June. They talked about how ND brought in Oben, who was one of the best (if not the best) DE's in the portal and brought in one of the best (if not the best) QB's in the portal in back-to-back years, and said that they'll do that with a DT. They cited a combination of need at the position and that the Hartman/Leonard money will go to a DT. They joked about there being enough to bring in a 2nd DT who is from Chicago (Justin Scott).

It was a few weeks ago. They weren't breaking any news, only connecting the dots. Everyone agrees that DT will be #1 on the portal wish list. ND won't pursue (or have to pay) a big name transfer QB, so it was reasoned they will go big game hunting in the portal with that extra $$$.

Reasoning is sound as long as whomever controls the purse is willing to spend on a DT like they were QB.

Braden Fiske is probably the best case scenario. According to the DraftTek rankings from this past week, only one transfer DT is supposed to go in the first two rounds of next year's draft (for reference they have 6 going in the first two rounds, including Howard Cross) in Walter Nolen.

Faraimo is likely visiting USC for the end of season matchup vs ND.

Freeman and staff are hoping to capitalize on the environment of the game and committed prospects to lure in the half dozen or so uncommitted guys that are coming.

I’ll lump these together.

Faraimo is a possibility for FSU and likely would be his last visit (to ND) before his decision.

He is likely going to be at USC-ND at the end of November. Scott Schraedr insinuated that the result of the SC-ND game may be the deciding factor in his recruitment.

Meadows is a name that has been thrown around, that some ND reporters have said is likely to visit, and others are uncertain.
