^by far the #1 thing I'm looking forward to in a Trump/Vance presidency is the elimination of DEI. One of the most corrosive influences on both public and private orgs. But that being said (regardless of this video even existing) the fact that a significant portion of the country on both sides has distrust on the integrity of our elections is a major problem that we need to address. I would be 100% on board with a constitutional amendment that allows the federal government to address how federal elections are run at the state level.

I can't understand why a non-partisan government agency isn't setup to run all the elections, we have one up here that does ours and doesn't seem to have any of the same complaints. The head of the agency has a 10 year term, does the redistricting every 10 years, and manages the disclosure of financial data of the campaigns as well as coordinating the broadcasting/moderating of the debates.

Think it would work wonders to give comfort to the People. I think both parties would be scared of it, which means that it would be incredibly popular.

National holiday with ID presented to vote paper ballots in person. Traditional absentee process for obvious needs - not on demand mail in BS. Open some extra poll sites, easier to get volunteers if its a holiday.

One month of early voting is garbage - centralized site being overrun creating these long lines instead of designing a one day solution that has capacity for the individual district. National holiday spreads out the vote instead of pre/post work rush.
