I genuinely don’t think our season looks any different if Will Howard or Cam Ward came here instead of Riley Leonard.

Not a Riley defender. Just realistic about our offensive woes and the fact that they extend far beyond QB.

If we were a Big Ten team, we are closer in makeup to Iowa/Wisconsin than we are to OSU. And OSU, for all of the success that they’ve had, hasn’t really had the best string of QBs (aside from Stroud).

Just as much as we need to hit on QB, we need more speed on the perimeter, skill position guys who can easily break coverage, create separation, etc. Arguably we need this more right now than the QB. I think it’s easier to succeed with stud WRs and an average QB, than a stud QB and an average WR cast. This is our problem.

I want to watch a Notre Dame game and have our offense look like Falcons/Bucs last night, not Iowa/Wisconsin. We are slowly getting there but still have a long way to go.
I don't think it would look much different either unless of course we think 5-0 looks different than 4-1...

Calling out the obvious here… But does Anyone else find it kinda lame how a lot of people on here are shitting on Deuce (ironic i know), acting as if “we never wanted that bum”, just because he left ….??

Yet if he was a solid ND commit, these same people would still be RAVING about the elite qb recruit we are getting, and how LOADED the qb room is.

The kids got elite traits, will probably be great, and chose to go elsewhere. Blows, but let’s not be bitter bitches about it.
I'm not Duecing on the Duece, but if you read my previous posts in here from last year it will show you how little I cared if he de-committed.

I'm too old and trying to live my best life to spew venom at a child who is good at a sport. Everyone saw this coming so to all the grievance and bitterness just seems silly, and that's being polite.

Notre Dame Football is the most important of the least important things in our lives. The decisions being made by these high school recruits fall even further down the list. Deuce Knight has options that most kids don't because a lot of people think he's going to be good at football. Not a position I ever found myself in. He's doing what he has to do.

CJ Carr>>>
Enough said with this post.

I want a kid who wants to be here, I want a kid with good character, I want a kid who is for the team.

Had Deuce stayed committed could he have come in next year to win the job? We will never know. You go after a QB in every class as Auburn will next season.

I watched Deuce's first game as a junior on ESPN, I was not impressed with him and he has gotten better over time.

I believe that ND currently has the better QB on campus right now.

Carr>Knight.

Wonder if Aub wants Deuce at their game today? After 6 weeks in a row, I bet they asked him to take this one off...lmao

Let’s get back on track please…what type of cuisine give you the worst Deuce Knight? Mine is Indian
Probably a perfect storm would be Panda Express followed by a stop to at the ice cream shop. Throw some jalapeños in there somewhere and it’s a Duece all Knight long.

What’s wrong with not wanting someone because they left? If my spouse or girlfriend leaves me for another person I’m not going to talk about how awesome she was and wishing I could get one more bang in. Fuck her.

Deuce is in it for the money not the on field success. Did you see his text messages, Auburn suck but has money.

Employees who are paid for work up front are never as good as employees who are paid for the quality of work they do.

Wouldn't mind if this thread dropped off the front page.

Paying an unproven employee up front with no experience is idiotic.

Pretty sure this kid is borderline illiterate. I never cared about him the way I believe in Carr. Deuce is just not an ND kid, I’m glad he figured it out before the coaching staff did
I was sold on Carr at the B&G game, he played late in the game with 2nd & 3rd stringers, but he looked like he had been in the program for a year or 2.

You have to wonder if Auburn is going in the direction A&M did? A bought class, with a coach on the way out in the near future and everyone transfers.

It's probably a more appealing for him. If the qb sucks, he's got a better shot at early pt.
