Chris Denson Coastal Carolina commit
Dual-threat, but a project type guy for sure

Hawkins or JKP would not be huge step back from Knight IMO. Knight has greater upside, but I'm not sure Hawkins isn't a more polished QB right now.

Too many fans give too big a crap about rankings, optics and narrative. Nobody can change how they consume this stuff, but if you've done it long enough, you learn how to get past the cake and watermelon. More drama than a Bravo show, and yet somehow this program has still remained viable and has kept it's doors open.

It all comes down to knowing that Minchey and Carr are already here, Grubbs is/might come in behind you, so you're going to have to come in and compete while maintaining an academic course load. That's it. The talking heads and recruiting windows can toss their word salads for paragraphs on end. So it goes.

Just need someone who won't transfer when CJ Carr wins the job.

While I get this line of thinking...you take the best guy you can get, because it's no guarantee CJ turns out to be the guy we all think he will be.

I know, I know, it's sacrilege to say that. But we've seen it countless times here (Dayne Crist, anyone?) and at other places (JT Daniels, DJ Uigaleilei). Don't take a "flyer," or someone who has "traits"; take the guy who you think could win games for you, regardless of who was taken in the class in front of him.

Give me someone who has produced (at least one 30 pass td season), started multiple seasons and ideally, played in and won big games at the hs level. Should also be able to run as a northern qb will need to be able to make some plays with his feet.

These qbs who lose over a season worth of reps as hs upperclassmen due to transfer or injury have the odds of being successful at the college level stacked against them. When they play, you see buchner level inconsistency.

Having these parameters when deciding who to go after helps narrow down your search. You only deviate from that if someone blows you away in person and checks the physical and character boxes off during in person evaluation.

I’ll go with Leo Hannan for a variety of reasons.
Big arm, big frame. Obviously the feet and muscle memory are what they'll work on at the next level, but he's got the infrastructure to be pretty good down the road.

6ft but he gives me major Golson vibes. Plus its a stop gap year, which wouldnt be a bad idea to take the Leader and QB of IMG
Golson was a "natural" QB with a gun, this kid is more of an athlete/runner who can pass playing QB at this point. Golson was a passer first and second who could scramble.

So ND lets them have Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele and in turn we take Deuce's NIL money and buy Dante Moore from them and the prophecy fulfills itself?

edit: ...And Dante's parents and Loy can live together happily ever after.
