Hawkins, Baker, Zollers, Jones III.

Lloyd Jones III has very good field vision. He finds the open man. He sees the field quick, makes a fast decision and makes a good decision more often than not.

Six foot four, 210, he's got the frame too.

Our lack of pull at the DC + MD Catholic HSs is pretty wild. Very different then Philly, NYC, and Boston metros.
its because we dont prioritize it. For some weird reason we dont really focus on catholic schools. the past 15 years we have focused on Cali, Florida, Texas. Lately we have been looking at Georgia more and im guessing it is because we want to be bigger and longer everywhere. I still believe ND needs to host camps in Texas, Cali, Florida, Indi, PA, DC, and Atlanta.

Wiltfong is saying the Bryce Baker is pretty solid to the Tar Heels. Great relationship with the staff and is already diving into the playbook. I believe he's an early enrollee. So, I'd scratch him from the list.

Jackson Kollack? 🤦‍♂️ Could make a good “splash,” frenetic style, puts his entire body into his throws.

well Mack won’t be there next year, so….

Early signing period really only gives us 2 months to figure the most important position out. Thanks Deuce.

Hawkins is an absolute baller, guys. Electric player who can run and has a quick trigger. Tends to make big highlight reel plays. Throws a great deep ball, he's accurate, dangerous with his feet. Plays with an edge. Competitive dude that has the intangibles that guys will follow in the huddle.

In a perfect world he's six foot two but the dude can ball regardless.

A frustrating situation no doubt, but if you're gonna be mad at someone, be mad at the staff that got taken for a ride for the 3rd straight year with an elite recruit.
And it’ll happen next year too. I bet it’ll be obvious who it will be as soon as they verbal to Notre Dame.

Most likely. I don't mind them going hunting for big game, in fact I would consider it a prerequisite if we are serious about contending. However, I don't like the way these things play out in public. They should have publicly denounced and refused his commitment the moment he started straying.

How are you supposed to "publicly denounce" a recruit when you're not allowed to say a word about them until they've signed their NLI? Best you could do is put the word out to the beat that you don't consider them committed, or start offering other kids. But again it's up to recruits to report offers and what QB (likely already committed somewhere else) is going to tweet about an offer from a school that (publicly) has another QB committed already.
It's an impossible system, but we love it.

Exactly. They should have had QBs in for visits months ago.

What you suggested is the least they should do. They could also make public statements without mentioning individuals. "Notre Dame is still searching for its 2024 QB..." or something like that. There are ways to reduce the amount of egg on our face. Use the media the same way they use the media when a good thing happens.

They should end those stupid rules - things are twisted too far in favour of these players now. Why can’t the head coach talk about the offers? Some antiquated BS.

If the staff has truly been talking to other QBs for months, I wouldn’t put so much of the blame on them. Smart play would be to keep the options on the down low until dk figures his money and Hugh’s hookers out. If news of QB visits or offers happens quickly, then the staff learned from Moore and Keon/Bowen.

Disagree. Smart play would be to cut ties privately and publicly (through use of media) and be he ones to set the narrative rather than some money chasing dolt from Mississippi.

Take the best one that accepts that they'll be playing backup for 2-3 years behind CJ Carr or Minchey!
