Not to get too personal but I was speaking with a friend this summer who is a BC alum and he made a point about how Bill’s son has to spend a ton of time at the Boston Children’s Hospital. Makes sense as to why Bill would want to be in Boston.

He's also from Boston and has a lot of family there. I know his brother through work. Great guy.

I want to give freeman his shot but BOB is a good coach to look at he is just an atrocious GM.

Lance Leipold.

Hard to find many guys who have been able to do more with less than he has. He got Buffalo up off of the mat after our boy Jeff Quinn got fired midseason prior. He's got Kansas competitive post Covid and you consider that our boys Charlie Weis and Les Miles both bombed out there.

The guy can coach ball and hasn't had a lot of resources nor has he been attached to blue blood programs. Too bad he's 60 years young instead of 50.

Kansas has had arguably the worse team for the last 40 years. If you can go .500 let alone have a winning record, you're a hell of a coach. I'll take 60 all day long. plenty of gas left in the tank. You'll understand once you get there.

I like this, I like this a lot. His track record is similar to Deboer. I like coaches that can take a program to the next level. Leipold seems to be doing this for the third time.

This job has been known to burn men out who have taken it. Good men. That's really the only drawback I see here. LL can coach ball, though. KU was total garbage and he's got them more than respectable, above average.

He is doing it. There's zero question about it. Buffalo and Kansas? Not places known for winning consistently.

he’s older and they love him at Kansas there is zero point of him leaving.

The only one I truly throw money at is Kiffen. But he’s a southern guy these days who knows. If people are interested in an up and comer keep an eye on Fran Brown at Syracuse and the OC at Bama.

The age doesn't bother me. It can actually be a pro if you can sell it to recruits it will be your last job.

Not sure I'd want Kiffin. Heupel is more my style but I don't think either would leave for ND.

My top two are Urban and Rhule. I don't know either personally, but I can make up a story in my head why Urban would want to take on the challenge 😆.. Rhule rumored buyout is absurd, so he appears comfy in Lincoln.

I can get behind Leipold , I also think you keep an eye on how Brent Key finishes the year.

I feel like Urb and Lane are more likely than Rhule. No way ND pays 60 million for his buyout.

I really don't know what kind of end result could prompt Pete B. to fire Marcus. I'd rather not think about it. Losing to NIU sucked, especially after the high of winning at TAMU. It sucks under any circumstances and as much I want the G5 and FCS guys to knock off a Goliath, I'd obviously not want Goliath to be Notre Dame.

I just want to beat Purdue and then go onto the next. Another coaching search, especially in this current climate and market with a new athletic director, would really suck from my perspective as a fan. Not to mention the optics of firing Freeman after three years would open up old wounds long since forgotten about that I'd rather not have percolating in the atmosphere again.

If Freeman ever left I think Elko would have to be a top choice but why would he leave the recruiting gold min of Texas

If the question came up last year there's a good chance he'd have come to ND, but leaving A&M for ND this year wouldn't happen unless he dreams of being the ND head coach at night.
