Watch these highlights and tell me we are better off with Leonard. At some point it doesn’t matter if you have the physical build + tools if you can’t throw the ball accurately or push it down the field with confidence. That game ending throw was late, flat, and underthrown by a ton… truly awful… but as said above the worst part is actually that he stared down one guy and missed two wide open players for big gains. He just has no idea what he is doing back there on top of being bad throwing the football.

You aren’t winning anything meaningful with this offense and the question should be whether you are moving on to Angeli to try to salvage 10+ wins or moving on to Carr and playing for the future.

Even my wife who enjoys football games mostly for either:

a) Food
b) Travis Kelce/Taylor Swift
c) Marcus Freeman

made the astute point that even on the passes Leonard completes, the throws are so bad that none of the receivers ever have a chance to, in her words, “run after they catch it. They have to dive or jump for every pass.”

Fellas if my wife can diagnose that with her eyes diverted to Instagram and Ben’s pretzels for half the game, Leonard is fucked.

Are we to believe that there isn't a single QB on the roster who can do better? Because if they trot Leonard out next week, that's precisely what the coaching staff is telling us.

I'm praying we make the change to literally any of the other 3. Wanna keep your NIL prospect and investors happy? Put together a package or two for him (a la Tebow/Leak). But other than that, can't risk coaching malpractice by making him QB1.

Might as well play Angeli and see what you've got. If you go Carr immediately, it's guaranteed Angeli & Minchey transfer. Then you're in a situation where you've got 2 scholarship QBs on the roster & if CJ struggles, we're fucked next year again.

Great post, yep the coaches have to look in the mirror and admit they were wrong with their evaluation of RL. It’s really that simple. Forget the NIL BS and just admit no matter how he looked on previous film, practice, etc. he cannot get it done in the games now! Pull the trigger and save the season.

Except we KNOW there is a QB on the roster who can. Angeli threw for 200+ and 3 TDs in the bowl game.

Also this is where giving Leonard such a big share of the reps in preseason camp bites you in the ass. Maybe Angeli knows the offense well enough to step in, but do Minchey and Carr?

Look at this video. He had one route on his mind with 2 guys open. I saw this when it happened live.

Riley is useless and his mom is right he does suck. Bye bye Riley and Freeman.

all he had to do was check down to the open receiver beyond the 1st down marker like he’d done earlier in the game multiple times. WTH was he thinking!?

I don't like the idea of jumping to Carr right now. Playing a quarterback too early can backfire for their long term development.

Steve is decisive, accurate, mobile enough to keep a defense honest. I'd start him going forward with a package for Minchey every game.
Riley can transfer out.

With how often he is late on throws, I'm not sure RL knows the offense.

Leonard can’t make that first throw Angeli did

Let’s not forget it’s basically the same OL, same RB’s no Mitchell, and like 4 healthy WR’s
