Nebraska is doing what they’re supposed to do. CO has a lot more talent than NIU.

I think I could comfortably name 30-40 programs that have had better QB play than us since the 16’ Kizer final season…and I can’t even begin to explain how incredibly frustrated that makes me.
It is demoralizing, and just unacceptable.

I’m hopeful that Carr will fix that for the next few seasons.

I've seen enough of Riley. Hurt or not he cannot throw a football. No point in playing for a playoff spot if we just gonna get cooked.

It honestly feels like a curse has been put on the offenses of this program since Weis.

I get your point, but Tony Rice wasn't exactly a world beater at QB. You can still win in college with above average to good QB play. It's harder and the formula for it to work is even harder at ND, but it can be done. But you can't win with mediocre, and too often, we've had mediocre sold to us as good if not great.
Kevin MacDougal was the best QB in the past 30 years, and that team was robbed of a NC.

It's painfully obvious that this team needs continuity, a guy who is able to grow into the role and not a one-and-done, plug-and-play, ready-to-eat meal type of transfer qb. All of our transfer qbs (at least until proven wrong about riley) have been unsatisfactory to some degree. We need a developed Notre Dame Man, not a transfer qb who only has one year to grow into the role.

Wholeheartedly agree. There is a TON of young talent on this team showing out and getting experience this year. Next year they will be a year older, a year more experienced and ready to do some serious damage, but we wont have a quarterback with the experience. I would definitely get Carr or Minchey (whoever they think is the future) reps along with the other young WRs that can come back next year. Even 10 snaps a game would be huge.

Golson was one of our best QB’s he was athletic enough had us 12-0 he got suspended we probally run the table with him again
Eh, people forget he had to get bailed out by Tommy against Purdue, and BYU, and Stanford, and Michigan. Then he became a turnover machine in 2014 when he returned. There were two sides to Golson.

I agree. Look at Texas with Ewers.

Ewers was a transfer QB for Texas
Yes but this is his 3rd season starting for them. They took their lumps and grew with him as a sophomore. We would have sat him and brought in a Riley Leonard to start instead.
