Agreed. It was phenomenal. Kid is going to do great things either in the NFL or otherwise in his life.
Unfortunately it doesn’t matter all that much if the play behind center doesn’t drastically improve.
Howard Cross to QB?

I'm just pissed I didn't go with the wife and daughter down to noblesville to the luke bryan concert so I could watch this. I'd take shit music and eye candy over sitting at home watching this
Luke Bryan sucks. He’s the Riley Leonard of Country Music! Tough situation.

I think this board is showing it's age. In 2010 this place would be burning. Today everyone's like "ah fuck, well anyway I gotta put the kids down for bed.:

I'm ND and Browns for 50

Nobody worth their salt who wants to truly win big, will entertain ND.

It's not happening. Ever.

This is just self pitying nonsense. ND has been in more playoff/play-in opportunities than 95% of other schools. Most coaches would kill to be in the opportunity that Freeman was just in to walk into the playoffs and host a game and let the chips fall.

I live in Atlanta, half my friends graduated from UGA....the other half are a mix of Bama, Clemson and UF guys....with some married to Fsu and Aub girls. I have a good idea what it feels like, but I'm definitely odd man out.
They must just kick you in the balls every friggin day

NIU, Ball State, Marshall, Navy, Toledo, I’m missing a few more surely.
Adding: if Freeman doesn't have the media team put together a 10 minute painful reel, of these games, to show his teams every time they play a shit team at home… then he is doing it wrong.

This. Freeman took over a top 5 team in a BCS bowl game.

We would not have been short on options if they chose to look.

It me.

Not even 10 mins after the game ended, my wife asked me to put our youngest in the bathtub, because the ice cream truck hit the neighborhood during the fourth quarter, and the 2yo had melted SpongeBob ice cream all over her.

I was still super pissed about the game, and did NOT want to be running bath time duty.

But my youngest loves bath time. She loves the warm water and the bubbles. As soon as I sat her in the water, she looked up at me with the biggest grin on her face and asked me to hand her a toy from the other side of the tub.

The loss sucked, but fuck it. My kids are happy and I still enjoy watching football, even if it’s painful and frustrating in the moment. You also get moments like last Saturday where you feel invincible and like you could take a dump through Brian Kelly’s sunroof as a fun little joke if the opportunity presented itself.

I’ll have myself convinced by Tuesday that this team can finish 11-1 and win a playoff game with the right draw.

Most coaches. Not the best who aspire to do great things.

There is a reason why we have to hire assistants like Freeman or up and coming coaches from smaller football programs.

Play calling on offense, Leonard I agree is not the caliber QB the Irish needs to win. I hope we bounce back. Purdue had a cupcake today 49-0 . I hope we can beat them.

Do you think we could hire someone that wouldn't lose to NIU? Because that would be a good start.
Maybe, maybe not. What I do know is that it's insane for a school to fire their coach without having a definite better Plan B waiting in the wings.

Give the horrible playcalling not related to execution why weren’t we running more? Screen passes? Bubble screens? Bootlegs? Maybe play action then? Does Denbrock have the juice to bench Leonard and try something different? He has the tools to work with and choose from. Non performing lawyers at less important positions get pulled for playing terrible. Leonard is a poser and we wasted one important game believing he would somehow deliver but it’s clear and should be when they look at film that he just isn’t that good. Get out the bowl game film of Angeli and pull the trigger!
