Guaranteed, if the score would have been the other way around, the article would have been Powerhouse SEC A&M beats Irish at home in opener..... It's one game and this Hennessey isn't old enough to know tradition. College Station is considered the hardest stadium to play as a visitor, the fact two Freshman had start on the Oline, Fiason out early and First game of season....

He’s saying Jack Coan’s internet security is relatively weak as compared to Riley’s. Riley obviously uses the suggested password when protecting his personal information, as opposed to Jack who likes to create his own password, and use the same one for every account he’s got.
Yeah but.....it's a REALLY UNIQUE pattern on the keyboard

Look at Freeman..decision to kick field goal came through...but had to ask his assistant to confirm the call
He should absolutely check the math on all of those calls. I hope there are other voices asking that question when it's appropriate as well. Being confident in the math makes for a more informed decision.

I can't wait to see what this OL looks like a few weeks. For those guys to walk into that environment with 6 career starts among them and do what they did in that second half is coaching, grit and football IQ. That wasn't about five star recruits and all the other bullshit that gets spewed on the internet during the offseason. That was real football in real time, digging in and stepping on the other team's nuts believing 100% in what it is you're doing in that moment. It was absolutely grand to watch.

I'm really sorry to hear of everyone's recent losses. our time on this planet is short and we need to live as much as possible.

I’m checking my old man into the hospital tomorrow for colon cancer surgery. Good news is that they are optimistic that they can get it all.

He’ll be there for a few days then staying with us until he heals. We’ll be watching the NIU game together from the house next Saturday.

106 yards rushing in the 4th quarter. If that game had gone another 15 minutes I think ND would have broken it open.

Am I the only one that actually liked Beaux Collins shoving that DB in the back after making him his bitch, catching that 20 yard back shoulder pass on the sideline?

I know it's a stupid thing to do and could have caught a 15 yard penalty but I love the attitude there, imposing his will onto that defender. He didn't even turn around to get in his face. He took it like a timid boy which to me signaled that Beaux had gotten into his head.

Loved this. But one critique. Yes they, the SEC sends a shit ton of players to the league. But how many of those players pan out? Make a difference? Honest question. Am I wrong?

I didn't watch the video, but ND generally puts more kids in the NFL than everyone in the SEC except UGA and Bama. Last year wasn't our best draft year but only those two SEC schools had more picks than us.

I’m so glad this win was away. I couldn’t stomach another rushing the field on a game we should win.

Loving the attitude is one thing - I love attitude too - but risking an extremely dumb and costly penalty when the game is on the line is inexcusable. I don't think anyone would be praising his attitude if the penalty had justifiably gotten called. He and we got very lucky there.

Love his intensity, but veterans should never do anything as stupid as that.

Yeah - he got away with it but can’t happen again. Let it out some other way.

Let me put the Beaux push to rest. The ref saw Beaux's reaction and Lee (A&M DB) had been chirping all game. The ref did right not throwing the flag because of the situation and stakes. Had Lee retaliated, he would have drawn a flag. You see things like this all the time in marquee games with players talking shit and being confrontational. So many times teams have done this to ND and basically punked them, especially when ND is on the road, and ND players just take it. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED HIM doing what he did. If he drew a flag it would have been 1st and 10 at the 35. Not 1st and 25 since it was a dead ball. After he made that play, the sidelines and team adopted that energy and it lead to the win. The coaches spoke to him on the sideline. So no need to shit on the kid for a hypothetical that did not happen. From Freeman in the tunnel, to Beaux confronting Lee after Mossing him, to Love asking the A&M crowd "Fuck Wrong with You?" after the TD. I loved it all.

Honestly as an official I appreciated the official being patient and letting it play out—not really just because it was our guy either. Officials are so reactionary sometimes and I think they forget they’re dealing with (whether it’s HS or D1) guys in the middle of heated competition. You can talk guys out of a lot of extracurricular stuff if you just communicate with them as opposed to just tossing laundry every time there’s a bump or some jawing between a couple of men in the arena.

After re-watching the game, my big takeaway is that ND should've won by more. I bet on ND moneyline and the over. There were multiple times where guys didn't read a block correctly or Leonard not getting that pass to Ford that, imo, would've resulted in at least one or two more TDs. I'm not remotely worried about the offense. What's scary is that this defense might be better than last year. My goodness. Great win.

I enjoyed re-watching the game. The most noticeable thing to me was how much control of the game the secondary had. I cant recall the last time we saw a secondary unit dictate a game.

This was absolutely Freeman's biggest win. The game went about as I expected; a slug fest that would be decided in the 4th.

Positives:
-Golden put Klein in his place. He has this defense at a level that I don't think Lea even accomplished.
-The OL was better than expected. I believed that the ND media was overrating the "6 combined starts" and that ended up being correct. Im excited to see how they progress throughout the season.
-The young guns on defense!

Negatives:
-I'm not gonna question Denbrock, but there are some things I wish he did differently. I don't think they tested the edges enough in the run game. I can't believe they didn't try one HB toss/pitch to let Love/Price get the ball at full speed.
-I understand Ford is their best pass pro running back. But I thought he was getting too much playing time in non pass pro situations. The list of offensive weapons they have to work with is long. We should utilize them.

This game also showed we better increase our wr recruiting. Our guys weren’t getting a lot of separation against a very good am defense. Need Love/Price type talent at wr.

I'm excited to see how Gilbert fits in to our offense once he gets the trust of the coaches. I think when it's all said and done, our offense is a top 15 offense in the country, pushing top 10. The run game is top 5 currently IMO
