Not to ruin the thread, but…

Grubbs is very upset with the articles written by On3 & 247 misrepresenting his quotes.

He says he is not visiting anywhere else, he was pressured over & over again by On3 and 247 reporters, as were other QB commits, to name schools they would visit other than their committee schools.
Grubbs named schools he would have visited NEXT SUMMER, if he wasn’t committed.
But he reiterated he didn’t need to because, “he already knew he wanted to go to ND.”

247 & On3 reporters are pushing the clickbait.
Grubbs & his camp aren’t happy about it.

When a random writer on 247 wrote an entire story about him wavering before any comments were made by him about visiting other schools I knew it was for clicks and nothing more. Idk why I subscribe there anymore, should probably switch to ISD

The value of 247 is reading OTHER teams sites about players you are interested in and features by Trieu, Biggins, Huffman and some of Dohn's stuff. Loy falls into that category now with Dohn until he figures out what kinda guy he's gonna be as a national writer.

When you read it all, you can pretty much know what's gonna happen unless Uncle LeRoy needs a new Caddy.

It’s all just so snake oilsy.

Kids need these sites to “raise their brand”.
These sites need schools and kids to “prove their value”. But it’s all just BS social currency that means nothing.

Kinda gross.

Yeah, caught most of it, Lake Mary won 46-17

Grubbs went 17/27 278 3TD 2Int
Two solid drops in there
Both INTs were in the end zone.

Grubbs looked good, fast arm and most were good passes. The 2nd end zone INT might have been a receiver falling down, but the camera man did not pan fast enough. The DB looked surprised he had the ball and the receiver was down.

Competition wasnt great, but then again Lake Mary wasnt great either
Camera man was saved from being the worst part by the announcer. Most of the game was on mute.

I fast fwd'd to as many pass plays as possible to see Grubbs....

Had to be the worst announcer I've ever heard. Sounded like a guy getting drunk in the booth after a long day at work. Truly horrible. The cameraman was nodding off and only woke up and tracked the football after he heard loud cheers.

Grubbs looked okay. Has a quick trigger but takes a lot of chances with the football. Nearly had a 3rd INT thrown on the sideline but the defender stepped out. He'll need to learn to be more selective in his reads but he does have some good accuracy. Seemed streaky, he'd get hot and hit a few throws in a row but then he'd miss a few by a good margin. One redzone series showed him sailing it out of the back of the endzone and throwing way too far in front of his receiver on back to back plays. Seems to lock on his primary read and then fires it in.

First game of the year, I bet he looks better as the season moves along. It was sloppy football. The announcer and cameraman should be jailed for a few days to think about their actions.

There was a personal foul penalty on that 3rd Int (the step out). I thought it might have been an illegal hit as he was throwing, because that ball was a duck.

It will be interesting to see what kind of Stratgety ND has if Deuce does jump ship. You got Carr, Steve and Minchey still I'm guessing all 3 stick around and compete for the job next year. Ideally if Carr wins the job you convince Steve or Minchey to stick around to be the backup. I think Minchey would most likely stick around at least one more year to get his degree. If both Steve and Minchey leave you gotta go get a transfer QB no matter what maybe you bring in a low 3 or 4 star guy. Winning will help flip some guys tho.
