Coogan has been better than Spindler for a couple years now, at least in the eyes of the guys who matter, the coaches. Sometimes the recruiting rankings are wrong, a concept that some just can't grasp.
I actually really liked Coogan's film coming out of hs. Kid played with a nasty streak and pummeled defenders. Prister actually thought he style was borderline dirty in some cheap shots he pointed out. Not surprised by Coogan's success at ND so far.

LOL I will chilll out on Landow. Just frustrated about the significant injuries already. He deserves a fair shake.
I have been following ND closely for 20+ years and I will tell you there are always a combination of season ending injuries happening in blue gold game, workouts, fall camp...I don't know why this gets brought up by people here... not at all directly at you but the whole principle.... it's like when people immediately clamoring for wr coach, or Freeman etc to be on hot seat because of x,,y,z...stfu they do this for a freaking living and wouldn't continue to have ascended to where they are... there's a lot of freaking variables in all of these situations and acting like you have any f ing sort of opinion on a matter you aren't even in the same stratosphere in knowledge about just blows my mind

Did II mention on their pod that Cross might be dealing with a hamstring injury? Feel like I heard it in passing

Honestly you hear about exciting changes every single preseason. I'll believe the hype when I see it. It really comes down to the OL- if they can hold up we should be explosive. If not, then all bets are off the table

Tell me about it. I'm still waiting for one of Tenuta's exotic blitz packages to get home
Are you still waiting on Golden's NFL background to translate to Notre Dame?

Are you guys capable of actual excitement for the team you follow? Or is it all stoic rationalization until the results roll in? Fans usually cheer their team on and try to stay excited about the new year, new opportunities, and new possibilities.

We can all "fan" how we want, this isn't an instructional. I simply can't understand why anyone would want to follow this sport if they weren't enjoying it. If the only way it can be enjoyed is when "our team" wins it all, there'll be so many years where you miss the smaller reasons for celebration. YMMV

Of course, everyone's reason(s) for following ND are different and the drive for following a sports team is often a blend of many different psychological and sociological conditions.

This report about the offense is good to hear because when knew before the season why our offense was going to be with MR. Bland

There were positive reports about Gerad “War Daddy” Parker’s offense a year ago. Of course a player is going to say positive things when asked directly about the changes

Because of Hartmans skill. Not the offensive structure.
We're just nitpicking the reasons for the excitement. My point is that there's always hype in the preseason whenever there's something new or different

We could have the best "offensive structure" in the world but it won't matter if the tackles can't protect the QB

What if I told you we may have the first competent offensive coordinator in years that could be able to scheme away from our weaknesses instead of being stubborn and running the same shit over and over and over again because that's how the offense is structured?
