Maybe Dana White’s gonna show up again and slap his wife around as they shoot off fireworks to close things out?
Dana White is a big fan of JD Vance's position of marriages can handle some domestic abuse.

Vanity & ego aren’t reserved for just one party. I suspect he’s made poor choices & had fillers, Botox, etc. Dude isn’t even that old. Regardless, he has a long way to go to catch up to Pelosi. TBF, she had 100 year head start so he’s actually on pace if he can live long enough.

Trump will bring us into a dystopian society if elected
This is the same parroted nonsense we heard 8 years ago that had leftists crying and hysterical, telling us about how he'd get us into a nuclear war, abolish the Bill of Rights, enslave Blacks, and a hundred other silly things, none of which happened. These are non-rational attempts to scare the gullible. This is why we on the Right say the Left's appeal is emotional and not factual. Stop it. Seriously, just stop.

When things started getting ugly on 1/6, Trump told everyone to go home.
He told everyone to go home well after things had “gotten ugly”.

He was shit posting about Pence of all people during the actual riot.

After the riot had been underway for about 2 hours he sent a tweet saying something to the effect that “the capital police were on our side and to stay peaceful”.

Around 4:00 pm after the riot had been underway for about four hours he posted a video leading with saying basically the election was stolen and a fraud but everyone should go home.

The stuff concerning Trump's role in the riot is potentially open to interpretation.

The item that I can't get past is that Trump tried to coerce Pence that he had the right to overturn the election to reject or return votes.

Trump probably now feels dumb for listening to the Silicon Valley people to pick Vance. Maybe not, because he’s gonna get a lot of $$, but the race is potentially back in play and Vance was/is an unpopular nobody.

I'm still trying to figure out what Vance adds to the ticket or what additional votes he's expected to draw. Doesn't seem a bad guy, just doesn't push the needle any.

Trump did try to stop the peaceful transfer of power on several fronts, including inciting a riot at the capital.
My point was that despite all the “socialism…chickens coming home to roost” scare tactics when Obama was running. Nothing close to that occurred. Status quo from a big picture perspective.

Same thing w/ Trump. Obama wasn’t the Communist as predicted by the right & Trump isn’t Hitler as predicted by the left.

He’s an economic populist similar to Trump. If you don’t like gov’t intervention when it comes to jobs/economy, then you’ll be disappointed w/ his views. He’s not a total isolationist as he agrees supporting countries crucial to America’s success (in his eyes) like Israel. But he has been pretty firm on not being a fan of all the tax dollars being sent in support of Ukraine.

He should do well in debates. He was raised in poverty regardless of how that makes the Left roll their eyes. But he doesn’t bring much to the campaign like an evangelical or a southern governor. Glenn Youngkin, governor of Virginia; made the most practical sense. Some think this shows Trump believes he doesn’t need a VP to attract undecided voters who are on the fence regarding him so he’s doubling down w/ Vance.

Telling a crowd to go home does not align with starting or participating in insurrection. You can say it all you want, but it doesn't make it so.

Spending a couple of months engaging in and spreading “stollen election” rhetoric, then actively gathering a large crowd, then spending several hours of pumping the crowd full of “stolen election rhetoric”, then telling it to march to the capital to “stop the steal” does.

Once the mob is set in action all beats are off.

From what I remember this is sociology/psychology 101 level stuff.

Seems odd you’re more interested in discussing events from three years ago instead of what is a pretty significant current event that just happened a couple of hours ago that will help shape history.

Looking at the past to provide context for the present. That’s like basic historical analysis.

Not doing that seems odd to me. Particularly when people attempt to misrepresent what happened in the past.

I think the big disagreement many have with this position is that Obama did put out a progressive platform as a candidate and then did a nice heel turn to being a neoliberal. Trump at least had some potential to push the GOP out of some archaic positions and "drain the swamp".....well it ended with him having his supporters wanting to hang his VP. One did actions to move away and one did things to push him closer to that narrative.

Except everyone is already aware and it’s been rehashed numerous times. Do you really think you’re going to change anyone’s minds at this point?

Dummies like Bishop and Polish Lep? No (sorry that cheap shot was too easy lol).

However, if someone new comes to this for the first time it would be beneficial for them
to have a clear understanding of the historical facts.
