ya i don’t think what he’s registered as is very significant, especially considering there’s def the never-trumper/rino types that hate trump and maga like the left; not to mention the dems that registered as republicans just to vote against trump. who he actually donated to is much more significant

but we should wait for more to come out, especially since New York Post is still the only outlet reporting on the guys identity

also i’m born/raised/lived my whole life in GA, the confederate flag has a different meaning to some southerners, having nothing to do with slavery/confederacy (it’s seen to them as a southern pride flag).

That RV is in Vegas, I see it often around as it is hard to miss. Sometimes they set up on an empty corner and put up 20+ flags.

I can also mention the guy who built a massive cross in his backyard facing the street with trump spelt across it.

ok, then i can’t speak to that, i can only speak on my experience growing up in the south and how some in the south view it

and ya the cross with trump across it is cringey.

The entire thing seems off. No rational reason whatsoever a building that close wasn’t secured or that people on the ground saw this guy (as reported) long before secret service / snipers took action.

20 years old, no social media, gun website tshirt, one $15 donation to Act Blue, registered Republican.

I’ll reserve judgment until more facts are known, but … yeah.

I know I'm in the politics forum, and I should just choose to stay away. But some of you need to just take a break from politics. If it impacts your life this much, you need to take a closer look in the mirror.

Too many people these days are too eager to identify themselves as Democrat or Republican instead of American. There are so many dumb asses on both sides of the aisle

A little too soon. I realize Trump isn’t dead, but this incident is a bigger statement not only of our politics, but also of a dangerous path our country is headed. This is no longer a “united” United States, but a United States that is segregated into too many self interest groups who don’t care about anything but their own interests.

Motive will be interesting. Any deranged kid with opportunity sometimes doesn’t need a reason, they sometimes just need opportunity. A lot of people talk like this took planning but I wouldn’t be surprised if this kid had a bad home life or had some trauma that led to this moment… Trump coming to town was just opportunity for crazy to be crazy with not much planning at all.
