As to Finland, they provide a shit ton of government subsidies for health care, parental leave and all kinds of other shit that is integral to not producing anti social assholes. The kids in Finland that go to those schools receive a shit ton of federally subsidized benefits from the jump.

Amazing to think that a society that invests heavily in its citizens produces good citizens. What a crazy ass concept!

I’m thinking all this disillusionment is more an indictment of the capitalist model we pursue in the US more than anything else.

Now, bear with me, if educational outcomes have reduced because of blame being ascribed to a federal agency and funding should be eliminated. What about the funding for the per capita 6th most incarcerated nation in the world?

Your argument was that American teachers are paid shit. Reality is that the feds have zero impact on teacher salaries (it's entirely up to each district/ state).

And if I was 22 years old with a $65k salary, I'd be pretty jacked up and having a great time.

There hasn't been a successful attack on a President since Reagan about 40 years ago, who also survived his shooting. Complete madness.
