  • January 12– February 3, 2024: Contact period
  • February 4, 2024: Quiet period
  • February 5 – March 3, 2024: Dead period
  • March 4 – April 14: Quiet period
  • April 15 – May 25, 2024: Contact period
    • One hundred forty (180 for U.S. service academies) recruiting-person days (see Bylaw 13.02.11) during the spring contact period.
  • May 26 – 29, 2024: Dead period
  • May 30 – June 23, 2024: Quiet period
  • June 24 – July 24, 2024: Dead period
  • July 25 – 31, 2024: Quiet period
Seems to me he picked the right time to take his vacation. Go during a dead period since in person contact is not allowed. While this is the most restrictive of all the recruiting periods, athletes and coaches are still allowed to communicate via phone, email, social media and other digital communication channels. He can do that from anywhere…and he is.

Yeah, publicly congratulating them for leaving nd for our rival

Mate, cut the shit.

Every outlet writes an article every week about how much Deuce is a part of the recruiting effort. He’s also nearly been to campus as much as Carr had, despite coming from Mississippi to do so.

Every commit that visits always brings up Deuce. The parents even know him.

If you’re saying it’s his fault that ND isn’t drawing big name receivers, fine, have it at, but don’t go throwing out misinformation.

They started their vacations on June 17th, a full week ahead of the dead period.
That entire week, June 17-23, they can meet with recruits face to face & have unlimited phone calls. That’s 7 full days.
I have no problem with vacations. I think they need vacations.
My problem is the following two points:
1) Don’t start the vacations until June 24th.
2) Don’t all go on vacation at the same time. Split it up over the month.

I said I don’t have any inside info but it’s alarming a top qb can’t help attract good wrs to nd. I must strategically miss all these articles of recruits talking about deuce recruiting them.

These kids are more mature than most fans.

Do you wish ill will on Taylor just because he flipped to Michigan?
My best friend in HS went to a team I hate & I still love him like a brother.
Not ill will, but I also won’t be rooting for him. If my best friend decommitted from playing with me to going to a rival school I would take it personal, unless he got so much money it was an easy decision, in that case I’d congratulate him privately.

I think both are true

With the time effort and money that went into these 3 and meadows in particular going 0 for 3 is pathetic.

However Irishdwarf is also correct that if it is 0-3 there then by signing day they will 100% find two more high 3 low 4 star guys to fill out a four man class and of those two, one will be a fairly sure thing (ala greathouse/gilbert) and one a high upside with one real projectable tool.
I’m 6’3. I live in a co

I’m 6’3, live in a culdesac, own my own business, and my wife is hotter than Margot Robbie. Who you calling dwarf, punk? I’m also not smart enough to put this post in italics so you know I’m being facetious.

Deuce won't flip. He'd lose his Delta 360 Membership, access to the Sky Club plus all his accrued frequent flier miles And his brand new Buc-ee's Platinum Mastercard with free jerky for life.

Yeah…If great golf, bourbon, wine, beer, sporting events and fun family trips aren’t your thing, being my friend would suck

What's great golf? Dressing up head to toe in Travis Mathew soiboi swag and firing a 104 at the Dunes Club or wearing a $4.99 Greg Norman Marshall's special and firing a 69 at the muni course after pounding a 12 of Natty Ice on the front and throwing up in the ball washer?

Outside of the idiot at Ole Miss and Loy’s clickbait, has anybody questioned Knight’s commitment to ND?
I did at first, yes. I’ll eat the crow.

I think he sticks now after seeing photos of him working out with current players.
Seems truly committe.

Ill will as in harm? No not on any player at any school.

But at the same time I've only met 1 person in my life who either went to or strongly roots for the university of Michigan that I could stand and most I strongly despise. Out of 100 or so interactions or acquaintances. For all the baseball fans out there that has them at a .010 batting average with me over my lifetime. I assume if you go there you and I will not get along at all. Guess what EJ, y'all are my fucking weirdos too!

If Meadows does choose ND, we will have three 5 Stars in the final rankings on offense.
Black, is the 2nd overall player in the class by On3. He will be composite 5 Star once one site updates their rankings.
Knight is the 32nd overall player in the composite, which would be a 5 Star in the final rankings (32 overall 5 Stars). And he will even move up more.
And Meadows.
When was the last time ND had three 5 Stars on offense in a single class?
That’s if they land Meadows. If they don’t? It’s an offensive class with a great QB, a great OT, some other good OL prospects and a good TE prospect. Most ND classes have that, but they also have RB and WR who will ever see the field at Notre Dame. This one doesn’t.

Heck, I think it’s much more likely that Deuce sees the field at Ole Miss in a couple of years than he does at Notre Dame. He either beats Carr or he leaves. Then what does this class have?

No one really knows, and that's the beauty of it all isn't it?
We all go nuts over recruiting in the offseason because there's not much to talk about, and then some skinny little three-star goes and becomes our highest-drafted WR in a decade, or we flip an unremarkable four-star late from Sparty who turns into Audric Estime. Once you get past the can't-miss (unless they transfer) five-stars it's all kind of a crapshoot and seems to depend a lot more on a player's drive than his tools.
