When has this ever happened? It's not hyperbole. Any president now has impunity to do whatever they feel like as long as it lands under the vague umbrella of being in service of their "official duties".
Was Obama prosecuted for drone striking innocent civilians?
Bush prob did the same?
Clinton’s perjury wasn’t related to an official act.
Reagan for Iran Contra?
Why do Dems act like Trump can drone strike us citizens now?
REALITY: SCOTUS affirmed longstanding law and practice. The Prez has immunity to do certain things that are solely inside his powers, he/she has a rebuttable presumption of immunity for other things in the scope of his/her powers, and for other stuff there is no immunity. This is nothing new and makes perfect sense under the Constitution.
