I choose to believe ND7983 because he says things that comfort me.
Very comforting. He basically is not contradicting Loy. Loy just says that it's not over and that he will likely visit Ole Miss in the fall but that a flip will be difficult. He also states that Ole Miss is recruiting him hard. Some are trying to read more into it than he reported which is that there is some cause for concern.

IMO, if he does flip, it will be due to the fear of being homesick. Isn't that what happened during his high school transfer? Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

No.
He was not going to be eligible under Tennessee HS Athletic Rules.
That’s why he transferred back.

For being homesick in general.
Two things:
15 and a half is a lot different than 18.
And he has spent more weekends away from home this spring & summer than he has at home.

Okay, long read, but here it is.

First, to start it off, I sent the Loy stuff to someone who would know, and the message I received back was short & to that point: “Loy is full of crap.”

Anyways, I will put out the disclaimer that of course Deuce can flip, to anywhere, at any time. But if by chance he does flip to Ole Miss, it’s not because anyone knew so, it would be pure luck for them. They can’t turn around & say they knew all along. It would be pure luck.

As for today, this morning, I will go over actually facts.
Deuce has been to ND 11 times, and if you count his OV as a different visit, and not the one he arrived early on, that what be 12.
He spent his first free week with Riley Leonard, Carr, ND WRs, at Phillip River’s place training.
He is actively recruiting for ND. Other recruits, who agent even going to ND, have said Deuce hits them up daily recruiting for ND.

As for Ole Miss.
First, Deuce wasn’t even their top target a month ago, Keelon Russel was. Bama was recruiting both Russell & Knight. Knight was taking to Bama, the same way he talks to Ole Miss. Unlike Ole Miss, Bama decided they weren’t going to waste time seeing if Deuce changed his mind, so went & flipped Russell, who Ole Miss was also trying to flip.
That put all the pressure on Ole Miss to know have to get Deuce. So them saying Deuce was always their #1 is BS.
Second, Deuce has friends & HS/7v7 teammates who are from the area & it benefits them to be on Ole Miss’ radar.
When Deuce went to the camp in Oxford, he had a dozen teammates with him. They all went to see Ole Miss. I’m going to go over this in-depth in my next point, but who do you think leaked Deuce was there to the media? And Deuce was NOT happy it was being reported as a “visit” to Ole Miss.
Deuce will continue to help his teammates get recruited.
Third, anyone here familiar with Shakespeare? And how he used all historical psychological strategies in his works?
One of the most famous, a 3rd party’s plan to destroy a relationship between two other parties for the 3rd parties’ gain?
They create a problem, and introduce it to the other two. Both parties in the relationship don’t have to fall for it, just one. And that one does or says something that now is real, and can’t be taken back. This causes the other party to retaliate. Now there is a real, negative divide, between the two parties. And it was created from a fake situation. And the third party who created it benefits.
Ole Miss is the one who leaked Deuce visiting to the media. Ole Miss is the one sending info to reporters about Deuce planning a fall visit. Ole Miss is the one putting out all the junk about Deuce being homesick.
They know ND commits visiting elsewhere is a problem, & they are manufacturing drama around it.
So far, neither ND or Deuce have taken the bait.
Unfortunately, both fans & the media have gobbled the bait up.

Deuce talks to other staffs because he wants backup options in case something happens.
But he talks to ND staff daily more than he does Ole Miss the entire week combined.
He talks to ND commits & players every day.
Media talks about Deuce saying Lane Kiffin is this & that, blah, blah, blah. Have you seen his quotes about Gino? Says Gino is his favorite coach anywhere, his guy, and they talk daily.

A lot of ND commits talk to other coaches, they just don’t get the media attention as Deuce. They got offered early by a coach in their area, they have a relationship, and after moving on & committing to ND, they still talk to those coaches back home who they became close with. Happens every year on every team.

If Deuce does eventually flip, it’s a completely different situation than from now, because of this morning, he is ND.
Thanks for this, and thanks for pointing out that "Deuce talks to other staffs because he wants backup options in case something happens."
He literally said exactly this during an interview, I forget exactly with whom. He was pretty emphatic that he just wanted to be sure that at the end of the day, if something changed (like ND recruited a different QB or Freeman got fired), he wouldn't be left without any options or a scholarship, but that he's excited to go to Notre Dame and it's where he wants to be.
It's smart. Don't burn bridges until you've crossed the river!

I'm assuming that it's at least Reapers information and contacts that he has passed along to his friend.
If anybody is interested, we will be sparring (4oz MMA gloves) at noon, (40 minutes from now) on the Southside of Indy, Carlson Gracie Indy, if you are interested in coming to watch.
Always welcomed.

Just out of curiosity, why did he transfer if he wasn't eligible in the first place? Thanks for the info. I didn't know that.

You are literally one of the ones reading into more than what was reported.

Loy's direct quote was "...it's just a gut feeling that he ends up visiting Ole Miss in the fall." Not even "likely."

Stop reading into it and wasting time on this bullshit. By paraphrasing you're giving him more attention

Well he played 3 games then transferred back home, the recruiting violation was found out before the play1offs and the probation then took place once the playoffs began. "Lipscomb Academy broke the TSSAA's recruiting rule when a then-staff member offered to intercede with donors to allow the athlete(Knight and his cousin) to stay at Lipscomb, according to executive director Mark Reeves' written decision."

This is getting old very quickly. Very clickbaity. I absolutely loathe the "LOOK OVER HERE!...now that you clicked, I have no new information, but here's some things to get people enraged" type of reporting these days.

Admit it. You didn't go there to train. You went there to chase all the soccer moms.
I swim at Baxter, and sometimes use the treadmills. I wear full sweats & a night watchman’s cap with built-in headphones to avoid the other people around me. The soccer moms, and especially college kids home on summer break, drive me crazy. I hate gym fraternization. I’m there to exercise.
After Baxter today, I headed over to spar at the sign you posted. Have you ever gone in there?

Driven by it as recently as Saturday, but never been in there. I'm too old to take up that stuff.

You were at the French Bakery next door, weren’t you?
That place has a line out the door on the weekend. We have two doors at the gym, one of which is right next to the bakery’s door, so it’s always funny when the 300lbers walk in our gym an accident, thinking it’s pastry time…
