I guess she didn't want to post articles about NIL, Transfer Portal, or any other issues facing the game.

She also RT'd one of her colleagues suggesting that Ryan Day WILL be leaving Ohio State after this season and here's why they should hire Deion Sanders. It's just bullshit clickbait.

Harbaugh said it best: guy was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple.

I don't think he's a very good coach, and benefitted tremendously from Meyer's "culture" in his first few years, and having Kevin Wilson run the offense through the 2022 season.

I don't think he's a good coach and even if he was, I don't think he'd ever consider anything besides a football factory and/or the NFL. He's not coming to South Bend.

Day has called plays for OSU since he got there in 2017. We're going on 6 years now without Urban at OSU, maybe Harbaugh's comments were correct for that 2019 season, but the guy has lost 4 regular season games in his career lol. And if their kicker doesn't shank the kick at the end of the 2022 Peach Bowl, he has a national title. I think it's wild to say that he's not a very good coach. Also the guy literally coached at Boston College, why would he pass on Notre Dame's HC gig if he was available, the job was open, and he was offered?

There are multiple coaches internally that are already on the staff that I would rather have as HC over Ryan Day.

None of that matters though because MFMF isn't going anywhere

That's just not correct. Day and Kevin Wilson split playcalling and coordinating duties since 2017.

Also, success leaves clues. At every stop he went to, Kevin Wilson had the "wide open, passing offense" OSU has recently became known for - OU, IU, and then he implemented it at OSU. Ryan Day was a coordinator at...Boston College.

It's not a coincidence that the offensive explosiveness OSU has become known for has fallen by the wayside since Kevin Wilson's departure.

We're going on 6 years now without Urban at OSU, maybe Harbaugh's comments were correct for that 2019 season, but the guy has lost 4 regular season games in his career lol.

The first few years of his tenure, Day was winning with Meyer's guys. And while his record is terrific, the Big 10 has been down, and some of his "marquee" wins (including ND in 2022 and 2023) have not held up all that well.

And if their kicker doesn't shank the kick at the end of the 2022 Peach Bowl, he has a national title.

If my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

I think it's wild to say that he's not a very good coach. Also the guy literally coached at Boston College, why would he pass on Notre Dame's HC gig if he was available, the job was open, and he was offered?

If he was a terrific coach, why are people in Columbus ready to run him out of town?

Uh, how familiar are you with this lot?

He's lost to Michigan recently and they have unrealistic expectations to begin with. Tressel and Meyer beat Michigan. Day got caught in the Harbaugh sign stealing scheme. That's been uncovered and Harbaugh is gone.

Let's see how it goes for them this season.

1-3 against Michigan, and the Buckeyes have gotten basically a little worse almost every season under his watch. Lou was right, he's soft. No thanks.

Just say 1-3 vs Michigan, because that's really all that matters. In the zero sum game of wins and losses, they haven't gotten "a little worse". He's running in place since Covid because he's lost to Michigan three times.

John Cooper didn't beat Michigan. Tressel did. Meyer did. Day hasn't been able to the last three years. This isn't rocket science with this particular fan base. They're couch burners who take dumps in coolers and think they can give Mike Vrabel a bunch of money for him to deal with this nonsense because he's an alum. Meanwhile the geniuses here think that Marcus Freeman is up and gone as soon as Day leaves. I'm still curious why Buckeye fans are going to want the guy who lost to Marshall and only had ten men on the field when Ohio State beat ND as their guy.

What viable candidate is going to want to replace the guy who went 56-8 but wasn't good enough?

I'll say this, I think Harbaugh was right about something. Ryan Day woke up on 3rd base and thought he hit a triple. Ohio State is still recruiting well because they're Ohio State, but that team is not quite as dominant as they were when Urban was in charge. They've lost a bit of their edge and they've struggled in some big games. If Urban was head coach last year they're probably leading against us for most of the game and they win by at least 2 scores.

OSU has had incredible recruiting and performance to match, but correlation doesn’t imply causation in terms of what Ryan Day adds to the team.

Lou was right - he is soft: he gets incredibly conservative in many big games where OSU simply can’t outtalent the rest of the big 10.

That shanked Georgia kick? It was because Stroud pushed OSU past midfield and then OSU went ultra-conservative, leading to the try.

They did this again against Michigan this past year, running down the clock to settle for a FG attempt before half.

Do we really think that if we hired Day, it’s more likely he brings us closer a national championship vs struggling in a role where the keys to a Lambo weren’t straight handed to him?

I’m out on Day. They might even win a national championship with hun this year. But I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t be bringing one to Notre Dame.

I still think Fickell will win at Wisconsin. If Day gets canned, he will be high on the list and ND may out pay to keep freeman.

Im convinced something fishy happened on that OSU/ND game this past season. NO WAY a super seasoned DC, men in the upper box and the HC let ND run two stinking plays with 10 men on the goal line, especially with the missing player being a DL.
I am convinced the Pro game is directed. Looks a heck of a lot like this one was too.

"Day, who has been the Buckeyes’ primary play-caller since he was hired as an offensive coordinator in 2017 and overseen the highest-scoring seasons in program history, will continue to have the largest say for that side of the ball when they open their season at Indiana on Labor Day weekend."

Because they're stupid. People in Ann Arbor wanted to run Harbaugh out of town after 2020. Would that have been a good decision?

All hypotheticals. If Urban was there, this this and this. Nobody knows that for sure. The last game he coached at Ohio State was five years ago. A hell of a lot has changed since then.

Day took over Ohio State because Meyer resigned for health reasons. He was OC there and had to serve as HC a few times because of Meyer's suspensions. I can't say I really care about Day one way or the other, but this idea that they're going to find anyone better might be a grand assumption considering the current landscape of the sport. There is a lot of change happening all at once, to the point that a guy like Nick Saban decided he'd had enough. No idea how Meyer does or doesn't do in these last few years.

He never lost to Michigan, and for that, he's on a pedestal.

Day likely has the best roster he's ever had on paper going into this season. He's also probably playing the toughest schedule he's ever faced. It would appear that he has to beat Michigan regardless of all of this or they will start a search if they have not already. I'm not entirely sure that Fickell or Freeman would be able to go in there and give them what it is they're looking for. Those fans are going to want Vrabel, if I had to guess.

Yeah, I don't think there's necessarily a candidate out there right now that's better than Day for them. There's probably a few better gameday coaches, but they're not leaving their current spots. There has been some clamoring for Vrabel. They're definitely getting antsy over the losing streak to Michigan, but I have a feeling that ends this year. I expect Michigan takes a step back, and not just because the cheating has ended. They'll still win a lot of games with that defense, but they've got a lot of new coaches and they lost some key offensive pieces.

Right. He beats them this year and a lot of that quiets down. Especially if they win the league again.

Losing to Michigan was the primary reason John Cooper gave away to Tressel. Tressel beat Michigan more often than not. So did Meyer. Day can't say the same for the time being and that's where the pressure is coming from. If he was getting rolled on the road against Purdue or Iowa, there would be legitimate concerns. That isn't happening. He's just lost three in a row to the one game that matters most to those bozos.

He's done everything possible this offseason to keep that job. It doesn't guarantee them anything, but they could be in far worse shape than they are with Ryan Day.

As some of you may know, my username comes from the fact that my dad (and sister) are ND alums, so I was raised an ND fan even though I am myself a Purdue alum. This weekend is my dad’s 50 year ND reunion, and at the reunion dinner last night, MF was a guest speaker. I thought I’d share a few video clips of him taking questions from the alumni audience that my dad shared with me. I apologize in advance because a lot of the questions are cut off, but you can get the gist of what the question was based on MF’s response. Topics include the new punter, his wife/family, and general thoughts about the team

The only problem is, I can’t seem to copy/paste the video clips from my photo app to IE 😂. Anyone have any suggestions?

Phones can be tricky at times. Try saving it to a PC then copy it.
