Good chance it's edited. Apparently Biden was trying to replicate a similar PR visit that Trump did recently that got cheers from the local crowd. It went over a bit lukewarm. Biden did comment on being cussed out recently though.

Unlike our friend thinking I fell for some deep fake, you can tell it's edited with the voices dubbed in. I'm just saying that whoever did that is a little too disrespectful. If it had been real, I think you would have seen the Secret Service taking some steps toward the heckler.

And the girls' shot is like one third less weight than the boys to boot. I want to see a race where at least one girl takes an hour to run 100 yards. Ultimate girl power move to make everyone wait and delay the entire event. Easier to do that on a track than in a pool where you have to keep proper form to avoid DQ.

Maybe not an hour, because then you're delaying the meet for the other women, but I get your point and think it's on the right track (no pun intended). Maybe have them walk the 400 meter, would send the same message and would still get national attention I think.

I don't want anyone inconvenienced - do you even hear yourself? Men masquerading as women and you don't want the meet to go long. Don't refuse to play, refuse to compete. F up the event for everyone, because until it affects everyone it won't be handled appropriately. Administrators are responsible, maybe a few inconvenienced milquetoast can tip the scales in the right direction.

I would rather they refuse to compete and let the boy run by himself rather than make a single event last for an hour. Making it go an hour is excessive, at that point it just comes off as petty. Simple walking the event sends the same message and would still bring attention. Believe me, I'm as strong as they come when it relates to protecting fairness in women's sports. The girls doing shot put went about it the right way, it brought attention to their situation and it wasn't excessive.

I understand your point. I just see the need for a more proportionate response. Nobody really cares until it affects them. Everyone at that venue will care after about 15 minutes and you will see who is cheering and who is jeering. Sounds like you would be jeering the oppressed women for going "too far". Or are you afraid it will encourage more trans shooters? Is appeasement your strategy?
Draw a fucking line and pick your fighter. One side is willing to chop up their child's genitals and the other is afraid of mildly inconveniencing anyone.

You can't see the forest for the trees. You're going to alienate supporters by being petty if you run a 1 hour track and field event. It's completely excessive, you can send a strong message without going to the extreme. I've been probably the most vocal supporter when it comes to protecting women's sports on here, trust me when I say I've picked my side. Your solution is basically the equivalent of getting a group to sit down to block traffic on a highway. You don't change anyone's mind by doing that, all you do is piss people off that otherwise might have supported you.
Imagine you're unbiased and attending two different track events. Both track events go viral on social media. One involves the girls stretching a 400 meter relay out an hour. The other event involves the girls slowly walking the event together with arms locked, it lasts 4-5 minutes. Both garner national attention. Which is more likely to gain your support, the girls walking hand in hand, or the hour long event you sat through?

I'd have to imagine the idea posed by RDU could be shot down by the track officials. The officials could, most likely, declare DNFs and usher the girls off the track for the next event. That's when things get sticky.
However, if the girls lock arms and make a strong protest taking their time, without holding up the entire meet, it's much more practical and more likely to garner support, without officials interfering and things getting sticky.
