Honest Question. Do you think Saban knew this and had a reason for retiring this year. Or,... do you think this retirement was the right time for Saban to keep on keeping on with his control?

Not gonna argue hes a damn good football coach, but also not sure how anyone can predict his NFL success without knowing the team, GM, and roster. There's only 1 guy now in the NFL who controls his roster and he won the Super Bowl last year. Harbaugh aint getting that control.

I know it was ages ago but he does have a 44-19-1 record in the NFL. Made it to 3 straight NFC championships and a SB appearance with Alex Smith and Kap as his QBs. That doesn’t mean he’ll be successful with (probably the Chargers) but he’s a safer bet then most who go from college to the NFL.

The 49ers hadn't had a winning season for several years prior to Harbaugh's arrival and he helped elevate them quickly. Harbaugh isn't leaving for the NFL unless he gets a huge contract with a lot of personnel control

I'm talking you take two coaches and two teams with similar talent, skill time to prepare, resources, etc. You take Saban and Harbaugh to coach them and I'm taking Harbaugh. He also proved that he could do it with professionals. Something Saban could not.

Harbaugh has been a college head coach for 16 season. He’s hoisted 1 trophy.

Saban was a head coach for 28 seasons. He won 7 titles.

And before anyone says anything half my family are peanut farmers from Alabama and the other half are hillbillies from Kentucky. I know about cousin fucking.

NIL and the portal only exasperated everything. Is it really the coaches or do we blame the schools? There's no loyalty at all, but a while back, some school decided to up the ante and got this thing spinning out of control IMO.
