In hindsight maybe, but I was surprised he decided to leave. It shows that on-field performance doesn't mean much in the transfer portal era. We'll see what kind of impact this has on player development. There are countless examples of kids who persevered (through little playing time, weather, missing family, difficult academics, etc) and developed into great football players as upperclassmen at ND.Rico has a bit of Logan Diggs to him. If not now... Then probably later.
Rico was the opposite of Diggs in my opinion. Diggs was always acting like the world was against him. Rico was one of the most humble kids on the team, he was always super grateful for the opportunity and always talked about how most kids with his background don't get opportunities like this. I will always like Rico.Rico has a bit of Logan Diggs to him. If not now... Then probably later.
This is why I was surprised by his exit. It seemed that he knew he had won the lottery and was intent on not wasting all the money (so to speak.)Rico was one of the most humble kids on the team, he was always super grateful for the opportunity and always talked about how most kids with his background don't get opportunities like this. But isn’t UCLA still a 2 hr plane ride from Folsom? Folsom I thought was San Fran area. Can’t fault him for picking UCLA if he was homesick. Still gets world class education and is on a competitive team. Somewhere like SDSU or Arizona would have been head scratchers.

Still a 6:30 hr car ride. But I guess it may be a cheaper flight and drivable. Wish him well, where ever he may end up.Sacramento
Meth is meth 🤷🏼♂️Indiana is a long way from Sac town let’s get real folks
Surprised Chip Kelly is still the coach of UCLA.
He just did not want to be at ND and wanted to be on the west coast.I just don’t understand how this advances his career. I guess he gets to wear Jordan gear which is cool 🤷🏼♂️
Why did he commit there after high school? He just did not want to be at ND and wanted to be on the west coast.
Same reason my friend at my Ohio High School enrolled at Hawaii and was back after a semester probably. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Why did he commit there after high school?
🤣🤣UCLA is the perfect school to go to when kids are finding it tough at ND
Easier academics
Better weather
Asian girls
Zero expectation or pressure to win etc

He was Stuckeys boy and Stuckey played favorites with him supposedly. There was a lot of locker room tensions because of that in the WR room. Also always felt he wasn't a fit at ND since he got on campus.Any actual word on what happened here?? Seems especially odd
I was only impressed with the fact he stayed healthy and caught most of the passes he should have.To be honest I wasn’t real impressed with his athleticism/explosiveness. Not that he couldn’t improve in that area but he didn’t come in with all world athleticism.
