lads Driskell said he himself transferred after his freshman year but he was "in his feelings'' Lol. Man's been through all dis before
Let’s be honest with ourselves, who from the WR room that is leaving is a difference maker? It’s disappointing because of the hype some of them came in with but the development just isn’t happening. For each of them that are leaving, there’s an equal replacement in the portal ND can bring in.Which, if true, would seem to confirm that Freeman fired Stuckey expecting those guys to stay and they left anyways, lol.
That shit be funny. Players coach.
This is a straw man argument. It says it only matters if they are presently difference makers. They don't have to be difference makers now for it to be significant.Let’s be honest with ourselves, who from the WR room that is leaving is a difference maker? If MF thought Chansi just isn’t it, better to cut bait a year early vs a year late. What I can appreciate is MF deciding change needs to happen and is doing it. We’ll see if GP is still OC and if he is, I won’t agree with his restructuring. But, I can still appreciate him attempting to change.
Before the current transfer portal rules, I’d agree. But I think we can manage for right now. I don’t think it’s ideal long term so MF needs to get this hire right. This is a straw man argument. It all depends on how that looks.
You can't lose one Sophomore and 2 Freshman WR's and replace them with 3 GT's. Or 2 GT's and 1 multi-year guy.
We're in this position because of piss poor roster management from years ago. This runs the risk of doing the exact same.
Many on here seem to have gone from hoping for underclassman to scratch the surface of significant playing time to immediately writing off the same underclassmen when they don’t produce in their first year of significant play time. This is a straw man argument. Man, and to think I got CRUSHED for saying Merriweather wasn't going to be good in August... And here you are going after the 2nd coming, Sam Hartman who's still on the roster!Wait till Freeman hires an underwhelming WR coach. No big deal. He doesn't want his QBs to pass to wide receivers anyway. He prefers Tressel ball, you know, the old fashion game philosophy that won't get you anywhere in today's game. What a joke. He might just end up being worse than Ty, and it won't be long before we look back in fondness to old purple face.
What do Freeman and Hartman have in common? Answer: They both look good, they are both good men, they give you hope and then they crush it with their relative incompetence. (Sorry, for the rant but it feels good)
What? So let's say we're swapping James, Merriweather, and Flores for three guys who will be almost certainly better as players in 2024, perhaps significantly so. At this present moment, arguably our biggest personell issue is a lack of finished products in the WR room. We have acceptable, balanced numbers among our first and second year WRs assuming our commits sign. You can't lose one Sophomore and 2 Freshman WR's and replace them with 3 GT's. Hopium. He’s from Indiana. I believe he wanted to be at ND b4 UW hired him. My bet is he’d need a significant pay raise. It’s probably better for his career to stay put, sadly. Unless we offered him some kind of incentive. What indication is there that Sheppard is coming to ND?
My guess is the primary reason that Merriweather left is because Parker was being retained as OC.If kids enter the portal can they return to the same school?
If so and a big what if...ND lands Sheppard, Sheppard gets Merriweather back to ND, and can develop him.

Tobias is allowed to feel however he wants to feel, and I have zero confidence that our OC will ever be the reason ND gets over the hump, but I wouldn’t trust Tobias when he’s on the field either…My guess is the primary reason that Merriweather left is because Parker was being retained as OC.
Not implying that Merriweather thought Parker was a bad OC, but likely that Merriweather was left with the thought that Parker's view of him over the year regressed. He figured he wouldn't have seen as much playing time next year.
If Freeman would've brought in a new OC, Merriweather might have been more optimistic about gaining favor going forward.
So what did Chansi do?
"Tobias the snitch" WTF is that supposed to mean
Interesting.
So what did Chansi do?
I thought that had been pretty obvious for a long time. Driskell would always go out of his way for Tobias. As others alluded to, it sounds like Driskell’s source was Merriweather
Nah. Judging by the way Tobias played, he well high as hell. If smoking was going on, he was involved. All this talk of ratting out Stuckey, being a snitch, etc and my mind instinctively went back to that one random weed rumor.
lmao there’s no fucking way right?
He'll tell you. Just need to subscribe to his DiscordEasy there, Goolsby.
Don't be throwing out words like that without context. And if you can't provide it, keep it to yourself.
