MF needed to hire a WR coach yesterday. This isn't that hard (it's not OC/DC), the salaries aren't high, and there aren't many out there with ties who are good.

Highly doubt some of this isn't slowed or even stopped if we have someone the kids can freaking talk to.

Rico was a guy specifically cited as having bought in to ND. This would be pretty fucking bad.

Also, pretty definitive proof that if they fired Stuckey to appease guys in the room then they made a very bad decision.
Which wouldn't be all the surprising.

Or, which also wouldn't be that surprising, that narrative is total BS. Both are a sad state affairs though for different reasons.

So with probably 4 WRs out & two coming in, already crunched on numbers, that means ND needs to bring in at least 1 more recruit and 2 transfers, maybe 3.

Everyone except Tyree sticks around without the autotransfer rule. Kids are going to get homesick at ND. We recruit nationally.

WR room must have been an absolute shit show during the season.

Sticking with Porker could very well determine Freeman's fate at ND over the next few seasons.
It feels like it already has. He wasted good talent this year and is in the process of running off more. If Stuckey "lost the room" and couldn't come back from that how is MF going to come back from also losing the room?

Let's just let the players hire assistant coaches so both groups can end up leaving anyway.

Sorry, but the toothpaste is out of the tube. Dudes are going to play five years of college ball at 5 different schools, and it's Freeman and Parker's fault? The portal needs some kind of parameters.

Can we maybe direct the frustration where it should actually go?

If the WR room was this bad, maybe we should give Parker one more year....And I was calling for his head after not being able to close out the OSU game.

Curious........ Is there a team right now that has their $hit together that is having an exodus of pretty important players at a key position?

My point, i don't think freeman has his $hit together, so we're in the group of teams that are losing players expected to contribute due to issues with the team. It's not like these are the players we want to leave to hit our numbers like (payne, Lewis, henderson, barnes, tucker, ford, sherwood, junior, baker, kristofic, carmody)

Well, we don't actually know who's to blame. All we know is that Chansi inherited a shitty room, and by all means seemed to at least righted it to a pretty good level.
Then out of the blue, he gets fired.

If Rico leaves, I can only have one reasonable assumption. Most of the WR group must believe that Freeman screwed over Chansi.
And if that's the case, and he did screw over Chansi for Parker....Then good, what a nice lesson to learn early in your HC career.
