What does that mean for this year? Of course everyone involved will say they have to sort through all the evidence and blah blah blah. Anyone with three brain cells knows it helped them win games this year so should they be given a playoff spot assuming they run the table?I went from having no understanding of how to judge this situation (check my early posts) to being hoovered up into the attention vortex of every update (as evidenced by my repeated updates tonight). I need to cut back for sanity and productivity, but I think this story is now clearly a big deal, arguably even more than some (but not all) of the recruiting shenaigans of the pre-NIL Era. With recruiting, at least you preserved the integrity of seasonal matchups and the internal competitiveness of games. If ever there was a case where vacating wins makes sense, it is here. You actually cannot trust what your eyes saw now.
Vacate the last 2+ seasons of wins and hit Harbaugh with a significant show-cause order. I think that's the minimum of what you're looking at for penalties.
No chance. The only thing I could see is if the evidence becomes overwhelming and the committee just tells them to fuck off.My sense is that the Big 10 would have to intervene to take measures this year. I can't imagine the NCAA moving that fast. But the NCAA is supposedly visiting Ann Arbor on Thursday.
Yeah. People who “screw over Vegas” end up on the back of a milk carton.I don't think you understand the point of that point.
Appears he's friends with some guy named Tom...I'll check his MySpace next
Agree. The B1G is smaller and able to move more quickly than the NCAA.My sense is that the Big 10 would have to intervene to take measures this year. I can't imagine the NCAA moving that fast. But the NCAA is supposedly visiting Ann Arbor on Thursday.
“Yeah, I never heard of anybody going to the games to watch and film and do all that — all the stuff that’s going on that everybody’s talking about,” Smart said. “I don’t know anybody that’s ever done that. I’ve never been asked to do that as a young coach or known anybody to do that. I’ve never heard of that.
Yeah, if anything "you still have to stop it" says a lot about Sanders' (lack of) ability as an Xs and Os coach.Finebaum is full of crap. If this were OSU we'd be seeing the same reaction. Probably so with PSU as well. Someone also needs to tell Sanders that it's a lot easier to stop the play if you know what's coming.
Finebaum, Coach Prime and Deion Sanders all coming to the defense of Michigan. Odd.
Yet Brady Quinn is on the wavelength with them. Hmmm.Finebaum and Prime are both douches!!!
I don't know that he's one to have sung Harbaugh's praises in the past. I was rather surprised at his take on the situationI wonder what Finebaum's talking tracks would be if it was Notre Dame. Just a guess but I bet they would be very different
I am not surprised at all that you are a fan of FinebaumFinebaum is a awesome. He says things early in the year, fans panic, then it comes true and their team goes 9-3 and they never revisit it. Rinse and repeat each year.
Finebaum is a fuckin' prick!Finebaum is a awesome. He says things early in the year, fans panic, then it comes true and their team goes 9-3 and they never revisit it. Rinse and repeat each year.
Unlike you, I don't hate everything.I am not surprised at all that you are a fan of Finebaum
Because he's been right every year when asked about ND, saying they're not a title contender? He's been right.Finebaum is a fuckin' prick!
What??? An natural pessimistic criticizing an oppostist for hating everything?Unlike you, I don't hate everything.
What have I been pessimistic about? You're here hating on a broadcaster (and you can't explain why), spent yesterday downvoting everything. What??? An natural pessimistic criticizing an oppostist for hating everything?
