Mickens/O’Leary need a raise.

I read on this forum no less than 12 hours ago that O’Leary needs to be fired, escorted roughly off campus, and maybe even fired from a cannon into the Sun.

I would say he needs to ratchet up the recruiting a bit… but he damn near had an all-time haul last year before not one but TWO high school kids screwed him over. He did the work, and even technically closed on both guys before shit went off the rails.

I thought he was the player last year who had a chance to change the outcome of that game and was just a little too hesitant. He had a chance at a couple pics and some big stops.

This year, no hesitation and massive breakthrough performance. Now we need to see him build on that into next year because he has a chance to really take off on the draft boards and maybe lead this ND team somewhere long forgotten.

For the love of all things good, please don't tell me you're suggesting Watts go pro after this year? He's played the position for 2 years and hasn't amassed near enough time dissecting teams to have any real momentum for the draft (yet). He needs to come back for another big year of production. He'd 100% get a stay in school, late draftpick assessment. But he's got everything he needs to raise his stock dramatically.

Now if he repeats even 60% of what he did against USC over the remaining schedule......then we should really have a discussion.
