Not his best game at all. Looked like he had only been with the team for about a month. Struggled with accuracy badly and is clearing pressing in the second half.

Go after that Montgomery kid from Ohio? OSU already seem to have there QB for 25.

I wasn't impressed with Deuce last night, I hope ND has options at QB for the 25 class.

No white castle in South Bend/Mishawaka. Closest is in a Speedway gas station in Michigan City. Good luck getting any food there. Sat 30+ minutes trying to get some sliders yesterday before driving off in a rage.

Missed the game. Doesn't sound like a promising start. If he has accuracy issues, I'm doubtful.

He definitely has talent and physical gifts. He started to find his rhythm a bit later in the game once he started running more. It is easy to forget that he only joined this team 5/6 weeks ago after transferring in.

He's been at Lipscomb for barely a month, and he's faced IMG and a top Alabama HS football team in his first 2 starts. Not put off at all by those performances, still should be the #1 QB on the board in 2025 IMO, especially considering Minchey is a Frosh on the roster, and Carr is in the class ahead of him.

The whole "who is on the roster in the preceeding classes" thing is typically how we have ended up with our recent string of starters. You can't count on the precedent QBs. You recruit for the best QB who can start as early as possible. You never know when they will need to and if they show up better than what you got, even better.

OTOH, Deuce Knight is not Brendan Clark or Drew Pyne, in the athleticism department. And freaking out over a couple of high school games is how you wind up with some fallback plan QB who is.

Well for the freaking out part - no arguments here

I'm just speaking to any level of logic that says well because we have abc and xyz we can recruit like this, specifically for the QB position, is not the correct approach.

Injuries & transfers make it for bad roster mgmt.

When the QB recruit has elite measurables and athletic testing like a Deuce Knight, it's perfectly fine IMO. Bit different to take Anthony Richardson 2.0 than taking Brendan Clark and Drew Pyne in between PJ and Buchner IMO.

Oof. If he missed his family after a few weeks in Nashville, that doesn't bode well for moving to Northern Indiana. We might need to go Bear hunting.

(Also: Lipscomb's BACKUP QB is a three-star with offers from Memphis and Marshall? That's kind of ridiculous.)

They said their backups hadn't had any varsity starts or playing time.. can't remember which one so must just be on measurable or camps

Potential red flag. Sounds like some due diligence is needed.
