Maybe I'm forgetting somebody, but when was the last Quarterback that we lost out to in a recruiting battle that turned out to be an no-nonsense stud at the school that landed him?

Haskins? Granted he only started 1 full season in 2018.

Good.
If TB doesn’t at least look good throwing in spring go get Daniels.
Yeah, agreed. Daniels has some talent, and behind a HH OL he'd have all day to throw. Not a bad worst case scenario plan, IMHO.

Has he seen TB throw? Might now be much of a competition.
He lost his job to slovis, a 3 star freshman, and Bennett, a walk on.

He'll probably take the path of least resistance and I doubt that's ND, though I could be wrong. Just don't know what the depth chart looks like at those other schools.

good grief...

seriously folks.

Everybody needs to remember the internet is forever and we will be able to see your piping hot spring practice takes in perpetuity.

Yes we have to give TB a chance but if he has a poor spring with his accuracy move on. He can play back up to Daniels and work on his game.

He truly only has one full season on tape…his true freshman year. He shreds his knee the following season & Slovis pulls a “Wally Pipp” and doesn’t look back. Mixed bag at UGA in that I could never get a straight answer as to why Daniels never secured starting position. Bennett starts in 2020 b/c JT has injury but takes starting role once healthy IIRC and performs well enough before injuries again. Unless I missed it, Kirby Smart never came out and emphatically said it was a specific reason that Bennett remained starter in 2021.

After all that, the closest example I can think of (fair or not to Daniels) is Dayne Crist.

He also was a heavy drinker. he was a typical LA phenom, too much, too soon, and let it go to his head.

But he can spin it. And it would not be a shock if he flourishes in Morgantown..

So what's the market for the QB's we're going to be going after?
So what you are saying is that ND isnt landing a transfer QB this year?
Hey now, we could offer them a rental house south of campus and free shuttle bus tickets to South Bend International Airport.

This was the guy people were kicking themselves over? For reference Drew threw for the same number of yards, but had almost twice the TDs, 3 fewer INTs, and a higher completion percentage...on 70 fewer pass attempts.

Would you hire him? He’s only going to be there for 6 months before he hops to the new shiny job 😂
Remember his true freshman season when he was wowing CFB media at SC? They loved to go on about him being a true freshman w/ no mention that he was held back a year in HS.

I didn’t realize he had been held back a year……dishing on that at the time definitely would have taken away from the hype! It’s no wonder he “graduated early”.

It is my understanding that he would have been good enough to beat Marshall and Stanford.

But no, I would not. And no, he would not have.

Building your numbers on a ND offense vs a WVU offense is apples to oranges. Drew wasn’t as good as Tommy Rees and that’s a pathetic bar. Sorry but JT might have had a better destiny behind a good OL with a running game. Of course he would have had that shitty OC.
