It will be on how much Bowen developsIt’s going to be hard to keep him off the field next year. Not saying he’ll start, but I’d be stunned if he doesn’t get a decent number of snaps.
JD Bertrand, Kiser, and Marist could all potentially return...It will be on how much Bowen develops
I'm having issues too.Are tweets no longer embedding for everyone or just me?
Test
Fair…I think only one comes back, and it’s probably the one that doesn’t play as much this yearJD Bertrand, Kiser, and Marist could all potentially return...
To be clear I don't know how or why JD/Kiser can keep talent like Sneed/Bowen/Jaiden off the field... But many ND fans think they're really good so it could be a thing.Fair…I think only one comes back, and it’s probably the one that doesn’t play as much this year
It’s not ND fans that matter, it’s ND coaches. To be clear I don't know how or why JD/Kiser can keep talent like Sneed/Bowen/Jaiden off the field... But many ND fans think they're really good so it could be a thing.
Thank you for letting me know Marcus Freeman is actually in charge, not me. Whew, one less thing on my plate, lol. It’s not ND fans that matter, it’s ND coaches.
Marcus Freeman, Al Golden, James Laurenitus, Max Bullough, have made this decision.
Remember 5 Star Prince Kollie?
People wanted him on the field so bad.
Reports out of Vanderbilt are he might not even start there, under Clark Lea, who recruited him.

Many times the younger, more talented players just need reps. Game and practice, so I stand by my point in this case. I'd rather have Daryk Bowen, Jaiden Ausberry, Jalen Sneed getting spring/fall 1st team reps in 2024 than year 84 with JD Bertrand and Jack Kiser being fundamentally sound against average, and swallowed up against good, taking those reps away from Bowen/Ausberry/Ziegler/Sneed/Kyngston.
I think Marist is talented enough to actually be an impact player, havoc causer, game wrecker, if you will. He hasn't been thus far, but we know JD and Kiser will never be and with Marist there's at least hope if you factor in his size and injury past. You may have an arguable point with JD but advanced stats and measurables say you're off on Kiser.
And when he tests like an "SEC" LB at the combine, don't be surprised.
Also... why didn't you include Marist with those two?
Kiser is a great athlete who will test very, very well at the combine.I think Marist is talented enough to actually be an impact player, havoc causer, game wrecker, if you will. Kiser is undersized for a LB, he's probably 6' 1/2", I don't think he'll test like a SEC player. Having two undersized LBs starting (JD and Kiser) isn't ideal, IMO.

I doubt he's at the combine. NFL doesn't care much about testing if you're undersized and/or not an impact player. He might run a good 40 but the NFL will think he's a SS if anything.Kiser is a great athlete who will test very, very well at the combine.
Because he's making waves as a true freshman and may have a ton of potential. We've seen Kiser have three years of unimpressing. Maybe he explodes this year, I personally highly doubt it. "Tackles" are unimpressive. TFL and havoc rate is impressive."We" don't know Kiser won't be an impact player. Stats say he already has been.
He 100% WILL test like and better than many SEC LB's who get burn in the NFL.
And why do you want Tiny Ausberry to play in front of him if you are worried that a 6'.5"/231lb LB is undersized?
JOK is 6'1 220 and he's a starting LB in the NFL, Kiser is 6'1 230 right now.I doubt he's at the combine. NFL doesn't care much about testing if you're undersized and/or not an impact player. He might run a good 40 but the NFL will think he's a SS if anything.
He won't be that at the combine, IMO. Not that we'll know because he probably doesn't get invited.Kiser is listed at 6’ 1 5/8”, 232. That is not small for present NFL standards.
Yes and he was a much more impacful LB. If an average non-ND fan watched a full season of ND games, Kiser (or JD) would not stand out at all. Put them in the SEC, neither start for a top half program.JOK is 6'1 220 and he's a starting LB in the NFL, Kiser is 6'1 230 right now.
Bro doesn’t even watch football. If it wasn’t evident before, it is now.I doubt he's at the combine. NFL doesn't care much about testing if you're undersized and/or not an impact player. He might run a good 40 but the NFL will think he's a SS if anything.
Ok fine, Drue Tranquill is 6'2, 234 lbs and he's been a starting NFL LB for 4 (going on 5) seasons. Kiser is not undersized in modern football. He won't be that at the combine, IMO. Not that we'll know because he probably doesn't get invited.

JOK was special. There are always exceptions to the rule.
Although you guys are getting me excited to see our SEC LBs dominate on Sept 23rd![]()
And was a far better LB when healthy than Kiser. Not even debatable.Ok fine, Drue Tranquill is 6'2, 234 lbs and he's been a starting NFL LB for 4 (going on 5) seasons. Kiser is not undersized in modern football.
