I blame everybody and call for general public executions!!!

How can we tolerate this ambiguity?

(... what are we talking about again? ...
Jaylen Sneed? Who's he play for? ....

... We're NOT talking about Jaylon Sneed? .... )

There has to be a reason for it. We can say the coaches are inept, but I don't think that is the case.

So from the Intel in the spring they were saying that Kiser and Liufau were playing out of position or at least not playing to their strengths. Kiser was at Rover, playing in space... where he was better suited as a in the box, downhill guy...so a Will. Liufau was a in the box, downhill guy...where they see him better suited as playing in space a la Rover. So I guess the coaches decided to switch them. It's just projection but if LB play isn't improved by midyear they need to move on to the younger guys because they have literally done everything to give Liufau an opportunity to succeed.

My (completely unproven) theory on this: Rover probably will be a blitzer position this year. Strong side edge rusher to go opposite of Vyper and occasionally drop into zone coverage/cover TEs. Using Marist correctly could be a huge difference maker for the defense this year.

Listed at Rover & Weakside LB, very interesting; not worried at all about the armchair QB comments above.

Who should be worried? Jack Kiser.

The need for Sneed is coming!

Far too talented to give up on. However, it should raise eyebrows that we have a 5 star LB that in his second year is nowhere near ready to play a significant role.

Needs to get his eyes up on run blitzes. Too worried about penetrating, not worried enough about breaking down to find the ball. Need to find a happy middle ground!

What? This is a hot take if I have ever seen one. He is a red shirt freshman and today he saw the most action he has seen in his career at ND. Can we give the kid a little more time? Lol

He can’t tackle. The easiest most used option on the field. He can’t even borderline read defenses.

People want to know why he isn’t on the field more these are the reasons.

Marist and betrand aren’t starting because they’re good, they’re starting because our backups aren’t good/ready … kinda sucks

Kiser had 10 tackles and was bad today, betrand type game

This. Sneed is young and a great athlete, but today’s the answer to everyone complaining that Bertrand kept getting run out there every week.

To me it appears he has no idea what he is doing really within the defense. It seemed like every time we was out there someone else was pointing out his alignment, assignment, or both. Doesn't appear like a confident loose player at the moment.

What I saw was when he’s aggressive and right he misses tackle, then he over compensated and was so timid he gave up way more yards than the play was defended
