Not sure how true this is.
I would guess very accurate given this would probably be publicly available information.

But private schools like ND would be harder (or impossible) to get completely accurate numbers and thus would probably not be included.

Quit certain we’d be in the top ten. USC probably is too. Every school on that list is a public school so it’s probably just built off of publicly-reported data that private schools don’t have to share.

Wow, Singer was squirming (and contradicting himself) when talk turned to rankings on his podcast with Tim and Goolsby the other day. He is really between a rock and a hard place with the CJ Carr ranking ND fans and his ranking boss.

Haven’t watched Hit & Hustle in awhile, but is it still completely unwatchable because of Jamie’s bad Wi-Fi?

Any idea/guesses what The Athletic is going to do for coverage and podcasts of national college football now that Andy Staples is gone? They are supposed to relaunch a podcast in early a July. I like Bruce Feldman on The Audible. Stewart Mandel on the other hand seems like a miserable, insufferable human being who thinks he is smarter than everyone else.

Long winded way of saying I’m think about canceling my subscription. Sampson is putting out roughly one piece a week with nothing insightful or groundbreaking. He used to travel and do pieces on individual players/recruits but they probably cut back on that with their financial problems.

Fun thing about the Athletic is if you try to cancel, they’ll practically give away a year subscription to keep you on.

On an actual sad note…

National Geographic announced they no longer are publishing magazines.

I grew up on National Geographic, going to the library in the early 80’s and developing my love for history, science & geography from the magazine at a young age.

No shit, the first one I read on my own (when I just learned to read), was the famous Titanic discovery issue.

I have hundreds of them in my library & was so excited to use them to do homework with my daughters a couple years ago in preschool.

They are going digital & using freelance photographers now.

What had this world come to that a trusted information source going back to the 1800’s is going away, yet social media bloggers are billionaires?

I have every issue going back to 1947. My Grandpa got NG, Life & Time when he came to the states after WWII and got me started on it and that's how I ended up with a B.A in Geography.

I have the Apollo 11 and the Afghan Girl poster prints hanging in my office.

Sad day.

ESPN let Jordan Cornette go today with a bunch of others (I'm sure it's posted elsewhere here.)

NBC has my permission to hire him for the pre-game and halftime shows. I really liked his pre-game show on the ACC Network.

And they can hire Suzy Kolber while they're at it too.

Yeah, I still remember racing to the magazine aisle of the grocery store just to look at that issue.

He’s very good w/ tons of charisma. ESPN also laid off another Domer, LaPhonso Ellis; who is a solid PxP guy & studio analyst for CFB

Made the mistake of listening to ISD latest pod yesterday. I wanted to hear it b/c they were allegedly previewing ND’s first 3 opponents. Jamie handled that part but it was pretty high level. Then Mike Frank goes on a rant b/c some of their board members were upset that ND is no longer the favorite to land certain stud recruits. He couldn’t wait to do his usual “I’ve been doing this for 30 years & you might think I’m negative but I’ve seen it over & over…blah, blah, blah” Why can’t he understand that it’s not the point? He’s no different, IMO; than any other message board fan who gets disappointed over elite recruits leave ND at the altar at the last minute? There’s no way I’d pay for that sight as long as he’s on the pod.

It’s the same thing happening to Michigan they have a lot of top guys in their top 3 but they won’t land any of them because their NIL sucks for upfront money just like us

EJ put out a list of around 10 recruits he thought were going to be in Michigan’s class two weeks ago. Said there were 5 silents coming off their big weekend.
Only 2 have committed to Michigan and EJ now isn’t confident any many others. Now the CB Nichols kid he said was a silent is about to commit to Kentucky.
Their class is at 24, & they were literally going to take close to 30, but all their targets are going elsewhere. So they might cap out soon points wise.

I listened to it and rather enjoyed it. He gives his honest opinion, which IMO lies between the sunshine pumpers and the negative Nancy's. To each his own I guess.
