ND did not process Waffle and I don't care what "coach D" says. The only reason he's not in the class is because he wanted to take visits elsewhere. They knew they could replace him with Sevillano so I don't think they cared too much, but again, I don't think that was a great decision to not try and talk him out of it. They also didn't pass on Cole Sullivan. They wanted him in the class badly and were surprised when he went elsewhere. Every recruiting site mentioned how they thought they led for him.
Cool. Care to cover any of the other positions Reaper covered?

Sure.

I like Carr, but not sure I’d rank him higher than Davis.

The RB he mentioned for UM isn’t even a RB. They have the 7th rated RB committed in Marshall and are in on Tatum. I like ND’s RB’s, but if they get Tatum, it would be hard to top that. For the record, I don’t think they get Tatum.

As he mentioned, they’re currently better at TE with the 5th and 10th rated TEs unless ND lands Nelson.

I don’t know that I’d give ND the lead at OL just because of Lambert.

Scum will probably land Chiles at LB. If ND strikes out with KVA and Shaw, I’d go with them.

I’d take ND’s corners, but definitely not safety. Safety is a shit show for ND.

Who does Michigan have at Safety better than ND?
Johnson & Urlacher is a better class than Oden. ND, like OSU & PSU, passed on Oden. MSU was the only team challenging Michigan for him.

And you completely lost me at Davis being better than Carr.

At OL, ND passed on Sprague and never even offered Frazier, Roebuck, Hamilton or Guarnera.
Michigan offerree & recruited Prescod, Peter Jones & Lambert.

At RB I meant Marshall, not Hanson, but my point still stands. I like ND’s class of Young & Williams over Marshall.

ND will get Shaw if they give him the green light & push. I hope they take him and KVA, not slow play him to see what KVA does.

Nah, just sick of ND not winning the recruiting battles they need to in order to win a natty. Seems to be the same ole “next year’s class is going to be ridiculous” and then it ends up between the 10-15 range
I mean, I hear you. But I don't think it is realistic to think ND can be in the top 5 every year as it pertains to stars and recruits. Not in this climate. With their stance on NIL, and them only able to recruit a certain percentage of kids that others get to recruit. I think the only way ND will be able to win a title, is to consistently be in that 5-10 range and then develop kids better and get smarter kids than the other schools.

The problem is that this isn't really the place to be arguing that.

ND has won more than their fair share of recruiting battles with Michigan.

Also just to emphasize, Carr > Davis. I don't think it's even really that tough a choice.

Oh I agree we beat them for just about every recruit last year and it was great to see them frustrated. I’m just saying this year they have a nice class for those that have publicly committed so far(not sure who the 4-5 silents are) a ton of momentum and seem to be in a great spot for some top players moving forward.

scUM just got a verbal from a RB from the 24 class out of Nevada who is ranked as the 55th best RB nationally and some scUM fans are talking about how much of a stud he is on film and how coach Mike Hart has a great eye for talent lol. they beat Oklahoma State and Hawaii for his services. back to back playoffs while being one of the best rushing teams in the nation and you can't do better than this.

I think the guy they got is actually really good but hard to evaluate because Bishop Gorman’s entire offensive line is going P5. It also knocks them out of the race for the #1 RB Tatum who was prob going to choose between USC, Oklahoma, and Michigan.

It doesn’t knock them out of the race…the #55 RB committing isn’t going to prevent the #1 RB from committing. If anything, it shows they weren’t in the race.

Right lol. If Michigan thought taking this kid’s commit would put them out of the race they wouldn’t have taken his commitment.

You guys are wrong idk what to tell you 🤷🏻‍♂️ Michigan was the favorite for Tatum all spring, and if anything has only started to slip in that position because his OV was for next weekend. Now they have stopped recruiting Tatum and he won’t make his OV next week. Also, just because he’s rated #55 by the services doesn’t mean the staff views him that way, or else all the rationale some use in the ND defensive commits thread is bs

Saying they stopped recruiting Tatum is way different than saying they’re out of the race bc they accepted a verbal from a guy ranked 54 spots lower. The wording threw me off from your OP.

From Holland last night;

“I’ve flipped my prediction from Michigan to Florida. This is brutal. I’ve got enough from both sides. Michigan needs to pray he doesn’t go public in the next 48 hrs. Stunned.”

LOL

They have landed nothing but 3 stars since last week and he loves to Hype up each guy saying oh this kid is underrated. I will give Michigan Credit I feel like they do hit on more 3 stars as turning them into starters more often than us

ND’s 2018 & 2020 playoff teams were littered with 3 Stars that ND developed.

All the talk about Michigan going to have their best recruiting class in years & ND’s isn’t good…

Michigan with 21 commits is at 259
ND with 19 commits at 249

If you go to the class calculator and add 2 more to get to 21 also, so Tae Johnson, because he is committing to ND next week, and Lambert, because I think he will choose ND end of this month…

ND will be at 262 with 21 commits.

262 with 21 is better than 259 with 21, isn’t it?

So Michigan’s recruiting a great class & ND’s is mediocre?

this is what happens when you have die hard homers on the beat like Sam Webb. He told them they were getting Chiles, Boo Carter, Tatum, Aaron Scott, Bryce West, and that they were now the top contenders for Ryan Wingo and Justin Scott. For all the grief Loy gets, he’s nowhere near the level of homer that Webb is.

Another example of that is with Micah Gilbert. Literally an hour before Gilbert silently committed at half time of the Blue and Gold game, he put out a piece how Michigan was the top school for him.

Now their other remaining top LB target Jeremiah Beasley is trending towards Missouri despite being CB’d to Michigan for months.

The On3 guys, not including Holland, are all lifetime Michigan fanatics.
It’s crazy how homerish they are.
