You sometimes see someone that strong that young legs only or upper body only, to be that strong so young fully body is incredible rare.

I just don’t see it. But hope it’s true.
It's rare a kid is able to be 6'2 320 and play with as much explosiveness and giddyup as this guy does.

I don't see why the coach would lie, nor do I see why the ND staff wouldn't know more about those numbers being legit or not.

I agree, could be doing it a different way not with proper say Olympic form. Either way, play on the field is what matters the most.

Reminds me of the NT we got from Harvard last year (Chris Smith? forgot his name already). Strong as an OX. If he can move some he’ll get on the rotation.
NT has become a part time position in today’s game anyway

It's been a while since they have had a 300+ lb anchor in the middle of the DL. Hopefully it benefits the interior run defense.

The 247 scouting report of him + his offer list makes me think he's in for a big rankings boost:

A uber-productive interior lineman that will crash gaps and create negative plays. Totaled 22 sacks and 50 tackles for loss as an 11th grader. Naturally low center of gravity allows him to get up and underneath blockers while a powerful lower half allows him to drive them out of the way. Has worked out of a variety of different alignments over the years and even been featured every now and then in a two-point stance, but physical makeup suggests that he will be a 1 or 3-technique on Saturdays. Might lack the desired reach, but active hands make it easier for him to get off blocks and help make stops. Isn’t the type of prospect that’s going to blow many away with his testing numbers, but doesn’t lack effort and can move plenty of iron in the weight room (squats 600 pounds and deadlifts 700 pounds). Should be viewed as a potential impact player in the middle at the Power Five level. Could work his way into the backend of a rotation rather early as he’s already got a college-ready body and is believed to be hovering right around 6-foot-2, 315 pounds.

Full of positives minus the reach.

The multiple alignment part is very intriguing.

Hopefully he proves me wrong but I think this is what's wrong with the eval.

There are very few DT's/NT's that get drafted to play on Sundays that are 6'2 or shorter and 315+ lbs. There were literally none taken if the first 4 rounds of the 2023 NFL draft. So, I have a hard time seeing that this guy is 6'2, 315 but college ready, right now. It would just be very rare to have a guy that lacks the prototype height/lenght to weigh that much and be "prepared" for 20-30 snaps/game.

Kancey from Pitt is the only one.

Adetomiwa Adebawore is 6-2/280.

He’s 6’1 280ish

It’s not just the height, it’s the weight at that height. Being 6’2 or shorter and athletically carrying 315+ lbs is not easy which is why so few are able to do it effectively. I just think this is either a process for him or his upside is limited.

If Adetomiwa Adebawore actually transitions to DT then he's the second one (but also the 4th round).

I think Sevillano can do the job in college and I'm not terribly interested in seeing him play right away unless he really is that good.

Adetomiwa Adebawore is also not 300+ lbs let alone 315 or 325 like we’ve been told Sevillano is. Totally different conversations.

Speaks to the point Lucci is making though. Two in four rounds out of 14 drafted.
I think it's too restrictive to generate a list of comparables by using Sevillano's current listed height as a maximum and his current listed weight as a minimum.

Jalen Carter was 6'3" and 314 lbs. He went 9th overall.
Mazi Smith was 6'3" and 323 lbs. He went 26th overall.
Siaki Ika was 6'3" and 335 lbs. He went 35th overall.

From a height/weight standpoint I don't think those guys are so different from Sevillano.
