The f*ck?

Forget ND, what the f*ck has Florida State done to warrant being ranked #3? They beat all of 2 teams with a winning record last year.

They barely got by an OU team that was circling the drain.

And Texas? What the hell am I missing here? Went 8-5 in a really weak Big XII. Also only beat 2 teams with winning records. What? They get brownie points of barely losing to Alabama, who turned out to be nowhere near as good as advertised?

FSU is going to be really good and they have a 2 game season. Florida is going to have a very bad team this year. Miami may be improved, but they're still Miami and probably won't be better than an 8-4 team. BC, VT, Syracuse, Wake, and Pitt all stink. Duke is probably their third toughest game. FSU returns 87% of their total production from last year, and added some major studs in the portal. I don't necessarily think they're the third best team, but by nature of schedule will probably finish top 5 or so.

Will all come down to the ACC championship game for them.

So they're this year's Michigan? Got it.

FSU doesn’t play Clemson? LSU?

If FSU was 9 and 3 last year, maybe. But they were 5 and 7, lost to a really bad Florida team that didn't have Richardson, and has a history of underperforming for the last decade or more. There is no way they are a favorite to get to the playoffs, schedule or otherwise.

Michigan, FSU, and Texas all waaaaaaaaaaaay too high. All three massively overrated. Think ND would beat all by double digits.

USC too high also. Nice that ND will be able to beat 4, 5, and 9 though. If they all end up being conference champs, even better.

That’s their two game season. Difficult no doubt. But if they split that, worse than 11-1 would be disappointing.

I also don't really buy Clemson to be honest. Klubnik is probably going to be a stud, but hasn't shown it yet. They were soft last year, and they lost 3 of their 4 starting DL which was their top unit to the draft.

I'm surprised at everyone sleeping on FSU. This is the most talented and veteran team they've had since Fisher left by some margin.

Amazing love for FSU. Wow. Was Coach Prime hired over there???

Michigan has been getting too much love too. But I guess back to back CFP.

USC is awfully high too.

ND at 13 seems low when you consider Hartman. I hope we finish, minimum, Top 10. That would require I think beating all the lesser teams and going at least 1-3 against OSU, CU and USC.

Whats crazier - seeing Bama start at #6 or Tulane at #19!! Both probably about right just not used to it.

FSU is good...but #3 good? No way. I think they'd be underdogs to the teams ranked 5-9.

Texas at 10 is also a joke.

I looked at the list and felt like everyone but UGA was too high…

I guess that means I feel like college football is in a weird place right now? scUM and FSU can make arguments to be where they are based on “Last Season + Returning Production,” but feels weird since they’re still kind of in a “prove it” state, as well.

It makes sense, though… someone has to fill in at the top when three of the usual top-4 (OSU, Bama, Clemson) all have QB questions to answer.

Agree re FSU. They have almost everyone back from last year but how good were they last year? Nowhere's near #3 in the nation. I don't see it. They're rated higher than Alabama and Ohio St? Maybe regular season if their schedule turns out to be as easy as it looks but I can't see them winning a post season game vs the likes of Bama and Ohio St.

Alabama, Ohio State, and LSU just took our backups to be starters. Obviously we have better players.

I don't get the hype with Michigan to be honest

They’ve proven physical enough to pound OSU into submission two years in a row now, and have a veteran QB at the helm that can do it all… it’s reasonable to think they can be as good or better than last year if McCarthy takes a step forward. Disgusting to consider! But logical.

Won’t help them get over the UGA hump, though.

If we had a few more years of 75%+ BCR Ratio recruiting, we'd actually have a shot at the title this year with all the QB uncertainty at the usual suspects. Very rare UGA, Bama, and OSU have this big of question marks entering the year.
