Since my son is really into Pink Floyd right now:

Ticking away, the moments that make up a dull day.

just catching up on some of these spring practice interviews. Holden Staes has put on some muscle mass. Will definitely be interested in his play this year.

How long has it been since we had a RB room this good?

Riddick, Wood, GAIII, and Cam McDaniel in 2012 was pretty dang good. 2015 had Folston, Dexter Williams, Josh Adams, and CJ Procise too.

Not saying that either are necessarily better than this year, but don't think RBs have necessarily been lacking either over the last 10 or so years.

You should be slapped for including GA3 in that list. He was a return guy moonlighting as a RB.

GAIII (RIP) was a solid RB that had some excellent plays that year. Remember a couple big plays against Miami and MSU- more than you can usually say for the third RB in the rotation.
Incredible speed if you gave him a big hole and space (exactly what happened on the two runs you spoke of. Couldn't break a tackle, make someone miss, or see a smaller hole

I reminded myself about Quinn Murphy, who my aged memory had misplaced. Murphy had accepted a scholarship at Princeton before changing his mind and walking on here. He is also nearly 6'6" and is apparently comfortable carrying 310. That sounds like a very big and very smart prospect who we should not be surprised can play. Admittedly, that gives no happy thoughts about Spindler (if the remarks are true) but it puts a better light on it --- Murphy might just be real good rather than Spindler real bad. I'm betting on the former. The Ivy league has recently produced some good linemen afterall; who's to say that a Princeton-headed prospect wouldn't have been one of them?
