I believe Notre Dame's Under Armour contract is set to expire in 2024. While we all hope that Swarbrick, the penny-pincher, invested the majority of his salary and savings in Under Armour's stock, what do you think Notre Dame will do? Do you want them to re-up with Under Armour?

If not, what brand would you prefer Notre Dame to go with? Nike? Jordan Brand like Michigan? Revert back to Adidas? What were they prior to Adidas? Champion? :ROFLMAO: (laugh all you want, those Julius Jones / Arnez Battle Champion era jerseys with the Golden Domes stitched at the base of the collar were the GOAT).

Do you have any preference or simply do not care as long as they stick to their classic, unparalleled look?

Doesn't one of Swarbrick's kids work for Under Armour as well? If Notre Dame departs from Under Armour, he'll probably be looking for a new landing pad - presumptively at the new branding co. that ND locks into.

I wouldn't mind a change at all. No idea to what though. I expect that ND will re-up with Under Armour

I remember reading that ND’s contract with UA included stock options. When the contract kicked off in June of 2014, UA was trading at 25$, it’s now under 10$.

Unless Jack's kid gets a job somewhere else, it's going to be a renewal with Under Armour.

And as much as I would like it, it's never going to be Nike. So options are limited.

I imagine ND will probably go back to Adidas.

Jack's kid is irrelevant to this. UA is not desirable, and its stock has tanked hard since the deal was made a decade ago.

ND isn't renewing with UA just because Jack has a kid that works there.

I personally don't like the way Nike's shoes fit. There's no way Oregon lets us get a good deal with Nike.

If they can say for sure the Under Armour is the big cause for our foot injuries i say move on. JMO it would be Nike or UA.

I am a big UA guy (never had UA shoes) but everything else is fantastic. I use it for hockey, working out, Golf, casual ect

I even use an UA Storm down jacket as my HEAVY WEIGHT cold weather jacket for climbing/cold weather hiking. I could go on and on.

Their apparel is top notch and holds up great when compared to other brands I have used. That being said, I know next to nothing about their footwear.

Huge Jordan fan, grew up a big fan of him and the Bulls before and during the run of 6 championships. And the Jumpman logo is such an iconic brand/look.

And yet, I've always thought Jumpman on non-basketball sports is an odd look. Football players with a basketball player on their jersey or pants?? Even as transcendent as Jordan was, and he WAS, it is still an odd look.

No Jumpman, go with whoever else makes the most sense financially, culturally, etc. If that is in fact Jumpman so be it I guess, but I won't like it.

Personally, I'm an adidas guy. But whatever the best decision is, go with that.

I remember when the Jordan brand rolled out, and certain basketball programs wore it (Cincinnati Bearcats with Kenyon Martin and DerMarr Johnson; St. John's Redstorm with Ron Artest, Bootsy Thornton, and Erik Barkley). It looked great then. I agree that it is a little perplexing seeing the "Jumpman" logo stitched on a football uniform, but it isn't offensive. Notre Dame in Nike or Jumpman would take a little getting used to, but I feel most could easily adapt.

It wouldn't be as noticeable as a program like Nebraska severing ties with Adidas.

Yep. I'm sure Jack's kid can get another job if he wants to. That's not an issue here.
As for where next, I vote Champion because that's what we wore the last time we were really really good. Raise up the echoes, all that.

No Nike for me. I'm lukewarm on going Jordan. I'd entertain Adidas but only if the contract had language that included making the football unis look like 1992.

I really really preferred the Adidas stuff. UA apparel is kind of iffy and cut weird..not good for dad bods. LOL

Adidas always had good items and clothes that fit the Midwestern dad profile...

Also, I would like the Shirt folks to revert back to the original shirt manufacturer from the 2000s as the 1) material seemed to be better quality than the thin crap these days 2) the sizing was more natural...i usually wear 2XL and the newer shirts seem to be cut very differently where I need to go up in a size.

Oh my sweet summer child...

It's not a coincidence that ND started having exclusive games on the version of Peacock you have to pay for (hint: Jack has more than one kid he's helped out).

The material of the shirts now are TERRIBLE! Also why the fuck are the collars all big enough for Andre the Giant to wear?

That isn't a handout deal. That's ND's shortsighted attempt to squeeze a few extra bucks out of a fanbase that has shown they are willing to pay.

Like I said, ND isn't going to renew with UA just because Jack's kid works there. If they do, it'll be because they feel they can get the most bang for their collective buck, which I find extremely unlikely given how poor UA has done on Wall Street over the past few years.

Not to mention, UA is simply not desirable for the players and that also plays into the decision. Ultimately, if the coaches want to move on, that is a heavy factor weighing against UA.

All in all, there's very little working in UA's favor to re-up. Jack's kid working there only goes so far to outweigh the mounting negatives of the company. If it were to happen, UA would have to offer a VERY generous deal that blows the other proposals out of the water.
