15 th ranked is solid based on Hartman and players . Hartman gotta be worth better than 18 th .
Really? This has been up for a couple hours and nobody noticed the new guy quoting himself?Right??? Lol
I’m not sure I’d call Kelly an “offensive guru”. The offense was usually the weaker/less consistent side of the ball during his time at ND.Except all of them but Rees last year and Parker now had a head coach that is an offensive guru….. freeman doesn’t know offense
True. But Burnt Ends was known for his offense and offensive acumen prior to NDI’m not sure I’d call Kelly an “offensive guru”. The offense was usually the weaker/less consistent side of the ball during his time at ND.
Kelly underachieved on offense and in his QB development. He excelled at taking third string players and making them an adequate starter (Rees, Kizer and Book). Thought he was coming in to run a high powered up tempo spread offense and it never showed up. Good coach and CEO but not enough of a motivator or recruiter.I’m not sure I’d call Kelly an “offensive guru”. The offense was usually the weaker/less consistent side of the ball during his time at ND.
It's called spin. Expect more of it, especially with the OL hire.Just saw an article where that Heather woman said ND was actually willing to take on the buyout but Ludwig backed out. He does have a pretty sweet deal at Utah I suppose. I’m just curious how an assistant “crushes” an interview with his current employer. He must have laid out a pretty detailed plan.
At least they are not hiring Bruce Heggie to coach OL..what the heck is going on? This is...nuts...Watt to OL coach would be worse than any of BK's lazy nepotism hires. At least those guys had experience.
Ludwig was a Mormon
I'm not sure if he thinks that this is going to make people feel better?
Because, it didn't make me feel better. Just sad.

All those guys went undrafted and were later picked up as free agents, with the exception of Day who was a Round 4, and Rochelle who was a late 7th and perennial practice squad guy. Romeo is probably the only one to really make his mark in that list.We also had Day, Rochelle, Jarron Jones, Onwaulu, Romeo, and Cole Luke - all guys who either made NFL rosters or were close.
That is not what the article said. She glossed over the details, and by doing that it sort of sounds like ND didn't screw up as much as we thought, but yes, they still did. All you have to do is re-read the article and you can see the key details.![]()

Dude, what are you talking about? The topic was the 2014 defense. It had nothing to do with this year's offense. All those guys went undrafted and were later picked up as free agents, with the exception of Day who was a Round 4, and Rochelle who was a late 7th and perennial practice squad guy. Romeo is probably the only one to really make his mark in that list.
This starting offense is loaded with more talent than those guys. Alt, Fisher, Estime will all likely be drafted well and will have a decent chance to see meaningful playing time. Not sure he won't still be an UDFA but Hartman is likely to increase his stock a little, and the WR group will all benefit although it's anyone's guess who will shine. Raridon is a star in the making at TE, it's very likely he'll breakout with Mayer gone once he's healthy. There's a chance Diggs and some of the interior line will get picked in later rounds too. I'm not saying all these guys are getting drafted, but in comparison it really feels like no contest.
Most of the ND beat I've read have said he's a very good and hard working recruiter.Any chance Parker is going to be a great recruiter?
That’s another way of making Freeman look bad. He should speak up and just tell the media what happened.![]()

Brick is far too busy banging crusties to have enough time to c block (coach block) FreemanObviously Brick was running interference for Freeman’s hires. MF knew he wanted his buddy Parker all along.
