I think I basically just said that. I said that my Christian values do not supersede your secular views (or whatever value system you have) on marriage. Everyone has a value system or code they live by… so by definition we are all narrowly minded in that system. I am a Christian, if you are calling my Christian values narrow minded then I am okay with that. I’m okay with the laws of this country going against my narrow minded Christian values. It allows a more natural design of free will. If you want to jerk off Toronto or SeekNDestroy or whatever left leaning poster on here that is your right and I am not here to stop you. We live in America, not Heaven. You do you, that is what America has provided for you.

No, I think prepubescent children should not be able to have irreversible things done to their bodies (including circumcisions.)

If we’re talking about minors that have gone through puberty, I think that there isn’t a simple answer for whether it should be legal or not.

I’d like to say it should be 18 and older for these types of decisions, but take a moment and imagine that you believed you were born in the wrong body. Now, imagine going through your teenage years. Pure hell, right?

The quoted article specifically mentioned children. So.... you agree, we should not tolerate that as a society. Thats good.

I'm sure having severe mental illness is troublesome. I'm sympathetic to those who experience that. They need help that doesn't involve mutilation or chemical castration.

Circumcision is a decision parents make for sanitary reasons for a minor child without mutilating them.

I'm aware of legal standards. But if you want to inform me of some, I'll happily read.

Lol, it's legal genital mutilation. Washing underneath foreskin is not some difficult task.

Why is circumcision up to the parents, but not decisions about their children and transgenderism?

Intent is literally the reason the FBI gave for not recommending charges for Hillary Clinton. Here is the FBI saying exactly that.

I know it's impossible for you to grasp, but have you considered that a person transitioning to a woman or a man makes them feel whole.

Just because you believe that cutting the foreskin of a newborn's penis is okay, does not mean that it isn't electively mutilating a child.

I think circumcision is a fucked up tradition and there is no physical or mental need at the age it is done. I also understand that it's currently an accepted practice and I'm not going to go out of my way to get involved with trying to prohibit it.

I also think that parents, doctors, and patients should be making the best decision for themselves. Why should I get involved?

You keep trying to have this both ways.

Mutilating infants=always good Mutilating teenagers = always bad

Insurance covered breast implants for cancer patient's mental health = sounds good

Insurance covered breast implants for gender dysphoria patient's mental health = terrible.

Most women have to pay that out of their own pockets. Insurance usually will not cover breast enlargement surgery. It will, though, cover breast implants for women who have had mastectomiesdue to breast cancer.

If you need further surgery later on, your health insurance may not cover that, either. Having breast implants may also affect your insurance rates later on.
