He saw the sharpest rise in his second term. Trump was given a humming economy, he used lower tax rates to keep it going. He just isn't near the "stock market" president Barry was despite whatever special equities Bishop was holding.
Sounds like a smart guy. It was like dad handing the keys to his new Mustang to his teenage son and said don't fuck it up. Son returns it home without a scratch! Son grows up and goes through the same experience with his son, except this time the son crashed the Mustang.

It's more like overclocking your PC when you've got a couple excel sheets open, and then your CPU melts because of this. Wasn't needed and lead to much worse harm.

Only nerds overclock their PC. Only the nerdiest do it for spreadsheets.

Trump living rent free. lol
I can't imagine being this obsessed with and upset over Obama or Hillary or Pelosi. I dislike their politics and think they're all low character people who were bad for the country, but I can't imagine letting them do this to me and still ranting about them long after they're out of office.

I have a friend who got his heart broken several years ago by a woman he thought was "The One" but who jilted him. He still hasn't gotten over it and moved on. About half of all conversations you have with him, he'll find a way to work her into it and then rant about how she lied to him and did him wrong. It just eats him alive and he can't seem to process it in a healthy manner and get past it. That's how these folks are with Trump.

He's running for President...why are you pretending he doesn't have influence?

The article posted was about Brazil. Anyone else would have posted it in the Politics thread.
I can see that, but are you denying the similarities between what happened here and what is happening there? The similarities between Bolsonaro and Trump?

Noted though, seeing Trump's influence and political style being used else where in the world is him living rent free.

I am sure our poster's from the right side of the spectrum will be all over this one..

"A lawyer for former Vice President Mike Pence discovered about a dozen documents marked as classified at Pence’s Indiana home last week, and he has turned those classified records over to the FBI, multiple sources familiar with the matter told CNN."

No months of trying to get the docs back, no dealing with lies that exhaustive searches are being done, and no need for search warrant to get the documents back because Pence is doing the right thing.

Now watch how there will be an investigation and nothing happens. Nothing will happen because Pence is cooperating and giving the docs back. It will be evidence though, that the right is using the Biden document situation as a political cudgel even though they know it is like the Pence situation and not Trump's

Cooperating or not, they should investigate why Pence had them. No excuse for it.

Next headline. Classified documents found at Obama's private residence.

We do not know if it is like the Biden situation or not. People seem to think cooperation is some end-all thing.

Lets say we have 3 people.
1. Murders family with a hammer. Turns himself in.
2. Serial killer, uses a hammer. Develops conscience, turns himself in.
3. Murders family with a gun. Doesn't turn self in.

1 and 3 are clearly more alike than 1 and 2, even though 1 and 2 cooperated/came forward.

Likewise, the issue at the time, per Dems and Joe himself, that Trump had to be held accountable for mishandling these documents. After all, we don't want our nuclear secrets out and about where people can find them!

Biden, it seems, has been taking classified material for years, leaving it everywhere. If Trump needs to be held accountable for it, then others do too.

Cooperation is great and all, but it doesn't change what you did wrong.

If you kill someone there are different possible crimes (or none at all) depending on the circumstances and your intent. That said, I don't think killing another human

You are smarter than this line of argument/logic.

Purposefully taking a classified document with the intent to keep it is very different from having it get "lost" in other documents. Throwing up double birds to the government when they ask for the documents back is very different from calling the government and letting them know that you need to return some docs you found that you shouldn't have.

I will continue to repeat and repeat....and repeat that intent is EVERYTHING when finding a starting place for dealing with mishandling of classified documents.

Shit, no one really cared about Trump's situation until it got to the point where the government felt a warrant was the only way for them to know they got all the docs back (and they were right).

1. Each of those three is a murderer.

2. Intent is not EVERYTHING, as that is not the legal standard. The standard is gross negligence. Leaving classified documents all over the place sounds pretty grossly negligent to me.

Those who do so may be imprisoned for ten years. All without even having intended to do so.

Is mishandling documents bad or not?
Yes! They should ALL be held accountable along with those who were supposed to keep track of the documents. Clearly there is a much larger institutional problem. That said, only one person fought to keep the documents once they were discovered, which is another level of insidious behavior, altogether.

Mishandling documents is bad. Lying about having them, refusing to give them back, and lying about declassifying them is worse.
And no one is arguing that Trump's actions were okay. Give Trump 10 years in prison and Joe 5. I'm okay with that. We don't know that Joe just misplaced or lost documents, but even if he did, what does that say about Biden and his concern for national security? Particularly when the find them in a garage? He could at least put them in an old shoe box with some family pics.
