Update 1/17/23:

Oncology labs are back with great news.

No cancer was detected in any organs or lymph nodes.

All tubes are off except port for chemo, we are eating real food now (he was SO excited for this part)

Treatment starts tomorrow, which will consist of radiation and chemo (radiation and chemo for first 3 weeks, then just chemo).

Total treatment plan spans 28 weeks.

There will be bad days ahead, that’s just the nature of things unfortunately.

Today is a GREAT day though, and we will enjoy it.

Update 1/18/23

First round of chemo was completed today, radiation starts tomorrow.

We were discharged right after chemo, and will be outpatient for all treatments barring setbacks.

Seeing him and his 7 year old sister happily embrace this evening after a week apart was easily the best moment I’ve ever had.

Update:

Our little Irish warrior rang the bell today. Dad cheered for about 3 seconds before turning into a puddle of happy tears.

Been a long journey, but Peyton Manning Hospital really made the process so much easier on us. They will definitely be in my donations moving forward.

Thank you all for the prayers along the way, we truly appreciate it.
