Looks like a cross between Vyper/Big End. Similar to Justin Ademilola last season. His potential addition could help keep Mills on the inside more in four-down looks.

He had half a sack against Georgia would be a good depth piece only concern is years past missed a lot of time
Played in every game this season. Four sacks. He's not the next Foskey but seems solid enough to contribute?

Loy is as the kids say capping with the casualness of his update/response.

I don’t think it’s switched there’s something off on the profile, the pick even has a link to a post on their board. Why I screenshot that screen instead.

It also says that was entered on 1/02, maybe just has not updated.

How to do get to the page with the prediction then. Also I think the 1/2 is maybe when he entered the portal?

Berry also said in his post about the prediction: “after talking to folks in south bend, I expect JJB to land there.”

would be cool to get some news today on someone actually choosing to come to ND.

Dukes DL, Christian Rorie entered the portal yesterday. Might twist Elkos arm for a favor. Could be a high quality backup. He’s got size and a couple years eligibility left.

I saw on the 24/7 boards about a thread regarding this guy. I don't know if it was just fan interest or speculation from what Loy was hearing, though.

He hasn't played much at Duke, and I dont believe he played at all last season, but he would fit the mold of a backup NT, similarly to Chris Smith last season.

Our boy Ja'Mion Franklin was their starting nose and did quite well. I always love seeing former ND guys (who left on good terms) succeed at their new school.

Right, if only for a breather, or to eat blocks. He’s a little lighter than his HS days. What do we have to lose? I’d roll the dice if nothing more than having a big body. Not too many legit options left.

Edit: saw somewhere he was at 303 lbs. his profile shows 260.

So we have likely seen a change in our transfer policy to some extent right?

I don't recall is ever taking more than 1 or 2 and I feel like all the past ones were from quality schools. Northwestern, Navy, Florida.

We now have both OSUs.

I think in 2020 we took 3 (McCloud, Speights, and Skowronek) but I can't recall us ever taking more than that. They were all grad transfers, obviously.

These are grad transfers though, right? We have taken plenty of grad transfers from less-than-elite schools in recent years. (And maybe not Okie State but Ohio State would be comparable to Florida, academically). Didn't Grupe come from Arkansas State? That OL a couple years ago was from Marshall.

I think the real shift would be if we started taking undergrads in larger numbers and from schools that are not our academic peers. The only undergrads I can recall are Joseph (Northwestern), Gilman (Navy) and Amir Carlisle (USC). We don't seem to be there yet.

Unrelated to today's good news, and maybe missed it earlier in the thread, but sounds like Cephas, one of the first names at WR, is now trending towards Pitt.

Haven't paid enough attention to know whether PSU took someone over him, or if he's not as highly-coveted in general as initially thought.
