I’ll go back to a post I had a few weeks ago, the goal for next years draft has to be Marvin Harrison Jr. You have to plan the strategy with this years pick keeping that in mind.

Tannabaum from ESPN tweeted that it's going to be discussed on if they want to move Fields and draft a QB. If they do that I am officially done with the bears franchise. We have a million problems on the roster currently and the QB position as it sits isn't even on the list as one of them IMO.

Perfect world, get a king's ransom for the #1 pick, draft the best available along the front seven, use cap space to build the OL and WR positions with proven NFL talent. I like Carter better personally, but I think the pick is Anderson if we have to stay at #1. Anderson can play all 4 downs just like a Micah Parsons type, where Carter I think is only getting us 30-40 snaps a game tops.

I am not a Bears fan but I would have to agree with you even though I don’t believe Fields is quality NFL starting QB. If you can trade out you do it. You can possibly get 3 or 4 players as opposed to one. But I don’t really think either of the 3 or 4 QB’s they are mentioning are worth wasting a top pick on on.

How people are still questioning whether Fields is a quality QB is beyond me.

Fields had, IMO, the worst offensive support in the league. The worst OL in the league in terms of pass protection and a complete joke of a receiving corp, along with one of the worst defenses in the league. He literally had to do everything himself.

What do you expect Fields to do in that situation? You could have prime Brady or Rodgers and they're not winning with that unit.

They can control the whole narrative of the draft by letting out BS that Fields is available or that they love Young. Despite Fields being electric as a runner, he still struggled to make basic throws. This wasn't because of a bad offensive line or wide receivers, he's just simply inaccurate with simple throws at times. Do I think they should trade him? No. But I do hope to see him progress as a pocket passer, rather than always relying on his legs to bail him out. If he is the same passer next season as he was this season, I could see management looking at other options.

Justin Fields is basically surrounded by a Triple A football team of replacement players. He struggled to make basic throws because just about everyone around him struggles to do basic things at their respective positions. He improved from his rookie season in every way possible while getting the shit kicked out of him being surrounded by scrubs.

The head coach and GM do. DT is basically the key cog in the engine of their defensive scheme and they need everything.

Ideally, trade out and draft Carter. Otherwise, draft Carter.

More than likely someone is going to be too much in love with Bryce Young and give up a ton to get that pick. Just depends on what first rounders the Bears end up with. Texans and Seahawks have a lot of draft capital. Colts would have to offer a lot in 2024 and beyond.

Anderson or Carter are both studs that would fill a need. Locking in either is why I think the Colts are such an ideal trade partner.

I'd say there's little doubt that their return will be within that ballpark.

You need to keep in mind, the Niners gave up 3 1st rounders and a 3rd rounder to move up to select 3rd in the draft. That was for a proverbial FCS project in Trey Lance.

The Bears are picking 1st and while I don't think Young or Stroud are quite the caliber of QB talent that Lawrence was, they're definitely up there as one of the better QB tandems coming out of college to come through the draft in some time, and there's A LOT of QB needy teams.

Any team willing to move up to 1 is going to have to be prepared to give up A LOT of picks.

Someone will definitely be willing to send multiple first round picks to the Bears for Bryce Young. The 49ers traded 3 first round picks for Lance. Young is way better than Lance, IMO. The Bears could get the Colts’ first round picks for the next three years if they do it right.

I’m interested to see where Levis and Richardson go. Both will go in the first round, even though there’s a very high probability they both bust.

Tennessee Got: Rams' first-round pick (2016), two second-round picks (2016), a third-round pick (2016), a first-round pick (2017) and another third-round pick (2017).

Rams Got: Titans' first-overall pick (2016), a fourth-round pick (2016) and a sixth-round pick (2016).

This is probably the bar for Chicago as opposed to the 2012 RG3 trade.

I never thought I'd think of Cole Kmet and his Ben Koyack potential in regards to the NFL lol. He has the tools, just needs consistency and a better team around him tbh.

I saw someone guesstimate 12/year for Kmet. Seems pretty generous to me, but yeah I'd be surprised if an extension isn't worked out.
