Pete and Fortuna have been talking about ND and Altius Sports for a little while now....essentially wondering why the university wasn't going public the info.
Easy on the eyes. Hopefully she does well in her role

Don't see how you can "cut" a player without taking away his scholarship. Unless its a non football scholarship or an injury scholarship replacing it because th 85 limit is based on how many scholarships you give. Not sure where to put this but - there has been a lot of discussion about NIL causing players to stay at ND rather than transfer out, which could be a hindrance to optimizing the roster.
Prister said that ND does not guarantee a spot on the roster for 4 years; it does guarantee a scholarship for 4 years to complete a degree. I took this as saying ND will cut a kid from the roster if necessary but allow them to finish school. So there's that.

It would be easier to manage for a spring semester when the scholarships aren’t necessarily capped at 85. That seems to be part of what’s going on here - letting guys stay on the team/scholarship until they get their degree in the spring, with the understanding that they move on before the season starts.Don't see how you can "cut" a player without taking away his scholarship. She appears to be a White Sox fan so I love her already...
I'll reply blunty, they won't so there's really no use complaining about itCool, now there’s a GM, give her the $ to spend. I’ll say it bluntly, pay 5* recruits upfront.
The unfortunate reality is this is really just a Marketing job. If I had to guess, she’s probably in charge of finding NIL opportunities for current players.
I’ll say it bluntly, pay 5* football recruits upfront. ND needs Peyton Bowen and Keon Keeley more than they need ND.

This. And the thing is it doesn't even have to mean the kid gives up football. Someone can correct me, but I believe people on medical hardships cannot play again at that school, but can at another school if their doctors clear him.Don't see how you can "cut" a player without taking away his scholarship. It’s the truth. I don’t like the idea of having to kiss the ass of a 17 yr old, but ND isn’t getting a Title w/o at least tweaking their approach.Whiskey just went into a berserker rage somewhere and has no idea why, yet.

Yeah, I’m not trying to diminish the importance but she wouldn’t be handing the bag over to recruits. Also, I think the role encompasses all sports, not just football. I do believe it would be wise to have a football specific person.I hope she does find current guys NIL money. So we can keep guys like Diggs, Ben Mo and others.
Then I’ll keep calling them stupid, bc they’re stupid for not doing it.I'll reply blunty, they won't so there's really no use complaining about it
They aren’t stupid for not doing it. LolThen I’ll keep calling them stupid, bc they’re stupid for not doing it.
A high school exhibition game pains you? Those players were more worried about their touchdown/ interception dance routine than the actual game and score/ outcome.I can’t. It pains me seeing Keeley tear it up in the AA game.

Yes, because that’s a kid ND had and he’s going to be an AA.A high school exhibition game pains you? Those players were more worried about their touchdown/ interception dance routine than the actual game and score/ outcome.
Really? They lost their 3 best recruits bc of it. How’d player development and grit work for TCU in the Title game? You need at least some 5* talent to have a chance. They aren’t stupid for not doing it. Lol

How's all that 5 star talent working out for Texas A&M?Really? They lost their 3 best recruits bc of it. How’d player development and grit work for TCU in the Title game? You need at least some 5* talent to have a chance.
How’d it work for UGA?How's all that 5 star talent working out for Texas A&M?
So we're just going to ignore all the schools that load up on 5 star talent and don't do anything with it, but use Georgia (or even Alabama since that'll be your response) as the only example? Right.....How’d it work for UGA?
