ND degree in hand, not much of an NFL future, all his friends from his class gone. He should absolutely milk NIL for every penny he can

You think Rutgers or Syracuse is gonna give him a pay day? He’s not an upper P5 full time starter. Unless this like Lea or Elston.

Maybe this is Narduzzi’s revenge lol. I’ll tip the cap all around then

He can still do well another season NIL-wise at ND. No school is going to cut him that big of cheque that is more substantial than NIL oppourtunities through NIL.

Not sure who is or isn’t interested in him. Don’t you think he should at least explore that option if a team offers him $150K up front to transfer?

This leaking could also wake FUND up to up his current deal

I think you’re assigning a tad bit more relevance to Justin Ademilola then due.

That seems like a poor decision be it transfer or really really poor if NFL

Not like Washington?
Dude probably wants to start. I don't see it happening at ND. I imagine we're gonna see more Botelho and it looks like they're pursuing Vaughns hard.

Reality is that Justin is just over 6'1 and 250. He's really short and doesn't really possess the bend or quick twitch to be a dominant Vyper, but he also lacks the size to be a dominant big end.

The transfer of Justin Ademilola is a FUND wake up call?

So if Syracuse or Rutgers are more his speed, why should we care about him returning? If he would be an important player for us, he’d be an important player for many P5s.

Think you’re reading too much into my wording. Talking about leaving could be signal for FUND to up his current money if ND really wants him to stay if that’s what it’s about to some degree.

Still think most of this about NIL is irrelevant because 6 years at the same school is a lot in general.

He has played in about 950 snaps the last two seasons. He's essentially played nearly as many snaps as Foskey (1100) the last two years. I don't think he would transfer because he wants the extra 100 snaps that a full-time, every down starter would receive.

But, maybe that could be the case? Don't know.

Justin right now probably had a bigger role than due. He’s depth at DE at a place on the upper P5. I like depth at DE. Few transfer to another power program to be depth. He’s important in that he represents a known vet as a second string/fringe starter. Sure he could go somewhere else and probably get guaranteed even greater role, but it’s not like that would parlay to the NFL. So I think he’s in a great spot already for both parties, him and ND right where he is currently.

Yes I misread that part, my mistake.

He could definitely still transfer, I just think it would be a pretty poor decision. But maybe his landing spot his higher than I think, maybe Michigan if it was logical somewhat.

No ND player should ever transfer to Michigan.

Has anyone checked to see what IB is saying about this?
The Ademilola’s (mom & dad) are probably Driskell’s biggest source the past 3-4 years.
They are always on his show (doing superchats about their boys) and whenever you would hear him say in the past “I had lunch with a player’s family,” it was the Ademilola’s a lot of times.

I’m curious if he will hammer Justin if he enters the portal like he has other kids? Or if he will blame Freeman the same way he always blamed BK?

Who cares what Driskell thinks?

People need to stop giving him air time here. The market needs to operate to get him off of the ND beat.

Ade dad always seemed keyed in on NIL. When NIL became legal the very same day he had a deal for them with some sort of energy drink/supplements outfit

Cut the speculation lads. He’s in it to win it at ND.

EDIT: Lol the link went to a page not found.

OneFootDown could be jumping the gun here.

This is surprising to me. He has played well and a lot this year. I highly doubt that changes in the 23 season.

This only makes sense if the staff is very confident in landing a transfer.

That coupled with Botelho’s coming out party, could squeeze out a savvy vet like Justin.

But, I’d hate to see it happen because I’d really like to have as much depth as possible for next year. If a real run is possible, you likely need to withstand some attrition.

Someone on another board is claiming he's returning, without listing a source. Can't find anything anywhere else. Anybody know if this is official?

it would be posted here if it was.

Hopefully that poster isnt making the same mistake that ISD did seeing his tweet from last year.

Apparently there’s a guy claiming on Facebook that he spoke to him himself and was told he is coming back
