especially since he admits the issues plaguing the other side of border you would think fixing the leak was a priority.

Uhhh…you need to look at the underlying drivers of immigration (legal/otherwise)? Both the push and the pull? How long has the border been a “conservative” whipping boy? 40 years?


The point being that the economy and foreign policy that “conservatives” spend much of their time jerking off over creates many of both as it relates to immigration (legal or otherwise).

There is nothing unique about the US and foreign cheap labor. Europe, Russia and even Israel bring them in. They come in, are documented and then go home after a period of time .They don't allow their borders to become the freaking wild west. There is an orderly manner.

That’s what happens all the time. Talk about illegal immigrants always gets met with….. “you don’t care about the people, only getting cheap labor.”

This isn’t a GOP or conservative issue. It’s an immigration issue for everyone. I don’t care who comes here and I don’t care where they come from. Just do it legally. Is that such a bad thing?

Who is hiring all these illegal immigrants and why aren’t they ever mentioned as the problem? If they weren’t exploiting desperate people, their desperation might not lead them to the southern border. Most of the hiring is done by huge corporate farms, construction firms trying to cut costs and service industries trying to maximize their profits. Seems like it would be way easier to crack down on a few hundred companies than hundreds of thousands of people trying to survive unthinkable conditions.

Bingo. Yes Yes a million times yes.

E-Verify should be required for every single new hire. Large farming and construction operations violently oppose it. We all know the reasons why.

They oppose it because the workers they pay to extract produce from the ground for Pennie’s a pound. With out them our food costs would be outrageous.

Immigrants in this country provide a needed and valuable service to our country and it’s a verifiable fact it’s of a massive net positive benefit to us.

I’m baffled how you can say it’s “proper”. It’s a loophole the left and migrants use. I feel like the next thing you are going to say it’s creating jobs as the need for more CBP officers is through the roof.

Well the article says it might be an option. It’s not available to everyone and those that do apply have to prove they meet the requirements. That’s not that easy to do and given the hundreds of thousands from all over trying to get in illegally I doubt this is really an option.

Illegal immigration started being an issue when we shut down guest worker programs back in the 60's. You can't make an airtight border. You can reduce the push pull (without tanking the economy).

What's the Border Czar up to these days? I thought Kamala was going to take care of this? Abbott has been putting in work, but we still have 2400 that avoid border patrol each day despite Biden saying the border is secure.
