USC is exactly what we all expected from them. The surprise is that it hasn’t caught up to them mainly because they consistently win the TO battle. If ND can win there like 2 - 0 they have a good chance.
The previous 6 games, they were +3 in turnover margin. This game bumped them up to +6 in turnover margin. ND is also +6 since the UNLV game, not including blocked punts.

Turnovers would be great but Nd can keep their offense in check by being gap disciplined when they rush Williams. Keep that pressure up the middle and lock him into the pocket and he'll be average, at best.

Good chance!? You’re crazy. They’ll win for sure if they win the TO margin by 2

Riley gonna get to the playoffs by winning in a shitty conference with a transfer QB, fast paced offense and no defense - who could have predicted this?

What's next, they get throttled by a team that's good in the playoffs???
When we beat USC next week I don't see them getting in. More likely Clemson gets in at that point or a 2nd SEC team again.

Even if they manage to beat ND, they still have to face Oregon in the Pac-12 championship, whom just got done beating Utah, the only team to beat USC, and also blew out UCLA.

Not certain it'll be Oregon. Wash wins the tiebreaker so its UW if they beat WSU and Oregon loses to Oregon St, Oregon St is a lot better than people think.

Friend of mine texted me this morning that SC is a Weis 05-06 ND team.

I sure hope that's true. I think they have the potential to be softer than puppy shit and ND will get some good licks in on both sides of the ball.

Is it? He’s always recruited offensive skill guys very well but his defenses suck and his lines are terrible.
It’s like folks forget that Riley took OU to the CFP w/ Baker & Kyler & no D. He doesn’t get to leave the bad that happened in Norman and only live off the good. I’ll credit those OU teams for one good outing in the CFP when Baker-led Sooners gave UGA all they wanted. Other than that, they’ve been a No-Show as much as ND.

Gamecocks wipes the floor with UT. Haha that was a great game to watch.
Spencer Rattler looked like the QB he was hyped to be coming out of HS. I almost felt sorry for Vols fans watching him complete all those 3rd and longs over & over…w/ basically the same play.

Slight hyperbole, but from 5 PM to 11 PM CST yesterday I don't think I saw a single WR covered across about 3-4 games. Spencer Rattler, DTR and Caleb Williams were hitting guys in stride that didn't have defenders anywhere near them. These guys were getting into space the size of Guam and running free.

DTR hit a few too many USC defenders in stride…

That is a damn good analogy. Great QB and skill positions, unimpressive OL and lackluster defense.

Wonder what these two looked like last night?

Not gonna lie, I was pretty close to this in 2010 when we snapped the losing streak to USC. 8 straight losses through most of my 20s to Cheaty Petey. I was there for the Bush Push and the '09 game that came down to the wire...and we got embarrassed in most of those games. 8 was hard, I can't imagine 15.

It was very cathartic as I remember it well. I was also fortunate enough to see ND’s domination of SC during the Holt era. I even had the “Decade of Dominance” t-shirt when it came out. The last time I saw SC play ND live was in SB in 1999. Two shitty teams playing in shitty weather. ND grabbed victory from the jaws of defeat that day.
