Free piece from Sinclair. Loy added him to the BBQ visitor list.

We are near the top of his offer list and a early visit so tough to gauge but sounds like he’s a real name to watch moving forward based off visit. Doesn’t look like a 16 year old.

I live in Bryant, AR. My kids went to HS there. They’ve won the last four state championships at the highest level and are the favorites to win it all again this season.

Kid is a stud. I can’t imagine him opting for ND but I have no insight to back that up. Arkansas kids typically go to Arkansas if they’re P5 targets. Hope I’m wrong. He’s got an impressive offer sheet.

Of the very few kids from Arkansas who committed to ND as a scholarship player, I don’t believe any ever saw the field. The only one I can recall who graduated from ND the OL Bartley Webb who was part of the Springdale 5 back in the Weis era. He had to medically retire but he completed his education. Luke Jones is the most recent Arkansan. He didn’t last long before transferring back home to UA where he is starting LT.

He’s not that highly ranked at the moment, but I believe that that is going to change. Wouldn’t surprise me if he jumps into the Top 200 or 150 before his senior season.

Me neither.

You can't teach that combination size, athleticism and the mean streak.

He's a legit 6'6 and wouldn't surprise me if he's pushing 280-290 by the start of his senior year. Definitely an interior player at the next level, potentially a 1T. His frame is massive.

Any kid with his offer list this early on will end up a 4 star. Would be a terrific get. UGA, Texas, and A&M aren't just offering any juniors this early on.

He just led his team to their fifth straight state title in 7A classification which is the highest in AR. Selfishly, I almost wish he didn’t commit yet b/c committing this early seems like an inevitable flip. If he did, in fact, enroll at ND and see the field for live action in a game, he’d be the first Arkansan do so as a scholarship athlete IIRC. A few have been on the team but were either walk-ONS or injured or transferred.

Don’t want him to jump too high in the ranks, otherwise he’ll get NIL’d.

I’m only half kidding.

Best ever Notre Dame football player from Arkansas was

John 'Tree' Adams tackle 6'7 220 from Charleston, Ark Subiaco Academy

Adams was in Frank Leahy's first ND recruiting class -1941

played varsity football in '42, '43(ND National Champs) and starting T '44

3rd Rd NFL draft choice- played 6 years for the Washington Redskins

Note: ND recruited 2 Subiaco Acad (Ark) players in 1941...but the other- Bucky O'Connor was from Tulsa (HS QB-Guard at ND)

Got any idea what kind of student he is? Probably the only way we land a kid like this is if he’s a high end student. If he’s the typical guy who just wants to go to college to play football he’ll pick the state school 9 times out of ten

Yes, we've read this book before. ND in early on a guy, he shoots up the rankings, Bama swoops in and signs him in the end.

Right but he never played a down. He redshirted and then transferred IIRC. He’s now starting LT at Arkansas.

Bartley Webb from the famous/infamous Springdale 5 signed w/ ND but had to retire due to shoulder injury. He finished his degree & is now an OL Coach at his HS alma mater. Before that he was a GA at PSU.

From what very little I’ve heard is he’s the latter. I was shocked when I saw Singer put in a crystal ball for him.

We don't offer many kids from Arkansas and rarely fare well with kids from Arkansas. Given he's a '24 kid makes it even more unlikely for him to be putting on the gold helmet.

IMO, he's a prime candidate to commit to ND and then he'll blow up over the summer and commit to a school that offers him NIL money (Bama, UGA, etc.).

This is one of the few DL offers that’s decent. He’s going to get a major boost over the spring & summer. Playing in Arkansas artificially deflated his rating.
