Just so I am clear. Your comments for the next year are going to be along the lines of "He sucks, because he has no good offers, and ND can't take on another project on the d line" or "He is too good so ND shouldn't offer since he will leave after his recruitment blows and the NIL deals start rolling in." Just out of curiosity, who should ND recruit?

Not for Lindsey. He’s going to blow up. Washington is still doing a piss poor job. Waffle isn’t anything special, Udeh, the Hawaii kid, and one of the smith brothers aren’t good enough for ND. And the fact he blew the Scott recruitment is mind boggling. Never take another program’s scraps. He wasn’t good enough for Ohio St, why is he good enough for ND??

Here we go again with your crap.
Did you miss the part where I said Lindsey would blow up? Sorry if I’m not going to pump sunshine up your butt over every recruit. IMHO, Washington isn’t getting it done. He’s taking way too many developmental players over polished DL. He also never replaced Keeley and couldn’t even recruit McCollough’s kid to ND. He’s useless.

For a junior in high school who seems likely to play DT in college it ain’t bad. Off by .2 for lots of NFL guys who test at the combine

I usually don’t like when 247 randomly gets EDGE vs DL wrong but dude truly lines up on the edge at that size lol

Sounds like a kid that wants to make all the visits and enjoy the experience. My bet is after all the wooing by the big name schools, he settles on Arkansas.
My bet is he blows up over the summer or his senior year and gets the bag from a $EC school.

They would also tell you that NO school is directly paying kids directly from their endowment so how much money a school itself has is meaningless. Guess it could give an idea of their donors wallet size but thats about it.

Well, that's kind of the point.

That money has to come from somewhere. It didn't just fall from the sky. ND's endowment is driven heavily by donations.

If ND can generate that much money off their donors, then the football program should be able to do the same. Hell, the FUND alone has been able to generate 20 million in less than a year. That is with ND doing absolutely nothing to promote it.

Do you think ND wants the money that is donated to the endowment to go to high school football players? That’s what they would be doing if they asked their donors to get NiL deals for
these high school kids. That’s the whole thing with ND. They want that money to go the school not 50/50 football players out high school.

That money isn't going to high school football players, so that argument is irrelevant.

The FUND goes to athletes who are currently enrolled at ND, not ones that are thinking of enrolling at ND.

That said, ND still isn't promoting it, despite it clearly going to benefitting CURRENT ND student athletes.

You missed the point of the discussion then. We were talking about gauranteeing money to high schools kids to entice them to come to ND before ever being enrolled and based off high school perfomance anb my point is still valid that the ND administration and board of trustees are not going to go out of their way to encourage donors to give money to football players rather than to donate it to the endowment or campus improvements. Thats not how ND operates.
