I’ve seen many GOP say that they will cut SS to “save” it

Your response is a propaganda piece put out by Bernie Sanders? They even have bits of the 11 point plan referenced on that factcheck.org page I just linked. Here's what Bernie didn't include in the disinformation fear mongering video:

In the same “Fox News Sunday” interview featured in the DSCC ad and tweet, Scott went on to say that he had no intention of eliminating Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid.

“Here’s what’s happening,” Scott said. “No one that I know of wants to sunset Medicare or Social Security, but what we’re doing is we don’t even talk about it. Medicare goes bankrupt in four years. Social Security goes bankrupt in 12 years. I think we ought to figure out how we preserve those programs. Every program that we care about, we ought to stop and take the time to preserve those programs.”
At a Senate Republicans press conference on March 1, and with Scott standing right behind him, Sen. Mitch McConnell said this: “If we’re fortunate enough to have the majority next year, I’ll be the Majority Leader. I’ll decide in consultation with my members what to put on the floor. And let me tell you what would not be a part of our agenda. We will not have as part of our agenda a bill that raises taxes on half of the American people and sunsets Social Security and Medicare within five years. That will not be part of a Republican Senate majority agenda.”

As our regular readers well know, claims about the other party wanting to dramatically cut or eliminate Medicare or Social Security are typical campaign fare. And so this claim tied to Scott’s plan seems likely to come up often between now and November.

To be fair, accusing Oz of cutting social security is one of the only things Fetterman said clearly. I’m surprised everyone doesn’t know that Republicans have this secret agenda they could have easily done in power 4 years ago.

you better vote Dems then cuz GOP already said they coming for SS.
They've been talking about the SSA going bankrupt soon for at least 40 years. Any talk about eliminating it was on the pretense that a better program would replace it.

No doubt, the SS system needs an overhaul with ALL the benefits going to the families of the people that pay into it. IMO, it’s been run irresponsibly for many years now.

There was a small window of time back when either Clinton or George W. was President where there was a somewhat significant level of support that SS needed to be addressed to ensure that it's sustainable for the long term. Unfortunately that time passed without anything really being done. The "political cost" was just too much.

Well, we aren't even remotely close to that level of support now. The "political cost" would be much worse in the current political climate. It doesn't change the fact that something should be done. However, if someone decides to push hard for changes/cuts to ensure it's sustainable long term, it would be political suicide.

Wait until a generation without pensions arrives to retirement age. It’s going to get ugly one day.

This guy is from my home town. I’ve know him since. I can remember. He is a lunatic
This is normal rhetoric now. He says this 8 years ago and everyone probably says "WTF"? Now it doesn't even register as a blip in the news cycle.

No one denounces it and calls him out. It just goes on to the next one.

Reading on cnn.com about the race in Georgia.

A unnamed woman who claimed she was in a years long romantic relationship with Walker said the Senate nominee pressured her into having an abortion in 1993. The woman, referred to as Jane Doe to protect her identity, attended the press conference virtually with her lawyer, Gloria Allred, and read her statement. Her voice was heard, but her face was not shown.

I think Fetterman will still win. Apparently around 600K votes have already been cast early. My guess is at least 70% of those votes are for Fetterman, particularly if a good chunk are early mail-in votes.
He might still win. But I suspect mail votes this early are from the people who were dead set on voting for him regardless. I will be very interested to see how many people who vote for Shapiro either vote for Oz or don't vote at all.

I have no idea how the PA dem party brass let this happen. They are trying to prop up a vegetable with Connor Lamb just standing there like wtf. Those people should all lose their jobs for either being fooled or for being complicit in this.

If he wins, PA effectively has one senator with two votes.

Anyway, House is flipping. Senate looking good for R's. If this goes how it's looking (far from guaranteed), Biden can just go hang out in Delaware and count down the days til he's out of office.

My guess is Oz will outperform Mastriano by 3% or so. Oz doesn't even have to get 50% to win. If you were to tell me that Mastriano will get 46% of the vote I'd be pretty confident that Oz will win the Senate race, as he'd be receiving at least 49% of the vote.

I'm still not completely sold on the Senate. I think Republicans will hold FL, NC, OH, and WI, but I'm not convinced they'll win 2, let alone 1, of AZ, GA, NV, and PA. GA is likely going to a runoff, although I think there's a better chance of Walker getting above 50% on election night than Warnock because Walker could ride Kemp's coattails, even though Kemp will likely outperform him by 3-4%. NV has been Lucy with the football for Republicans, Masters isn't running a particularly great race in AZ, and Oz is the underdog in PA.

What will Nancy do when she has to step down from her throne?

Could say the same for GA GOP and Walker.

Nancy is moving to Desantis country next year after she steps down. She doesn’t want to stick around watch everything get fixed.
Probably count all of her stock pick profits
A lifetime of shady trades means a nice retirement.

The media and GOP didn’t hide the medical condition of Walker. Comparing them is dishonest. Fetterman is incapable of performing the job. We were told all was fine and the reporter who said he had to read from a screen was full of crap.
Walker is a baby killing, woman abusing, violent dude who can’t talk and form cogent thoughts because his brain is riddled by CTE ….. but he is worthy of a GOP vote for sure. For sure.
We all know that the left despises nothing more than a black conservative. I love how you ignore how f’d up Warnock is. This is a referendum on what Warnock has delivered for Georgia and I don’t see anything better under his time with unified dem government. Enjoy Senator Walker.

This is the most support a black person has gotten from the Republican party since Abe.
To be fair, you ain’t black if you vote Republican, right?

This man can’t be defended. Unless you are just left wing cult, you’re considering Oz.

Masters just got moved to toss up. FL, NC, OH, and WI all look safe R. I think NV looks pretty good right now. Laxalt is a great candidate and NV has been hit hard by Dem policies. Inflation is high there and the service industry took it on the chin from Dem power politics of lockdowns.

Masters is a true toss up and has been trending the right way. The external environment is still good for him. Economy, inflation, energy, crime, border, etc. all help his cause. Normalizing womens dick bulges and killing fetuses is working for Kelly.

In a real red wave year, you could see CO and WA get competitive. The last minute vote is breaking red. The momentum in GA, PA, and AZ are all going the right way right now.

Don’t forget Beto and Gov. Abrams. They may both have double digit losses In what would be an amazing feel-good route.

Beto and Gov. Abrams taking hard L's would be fun. But Gov Whitmer and ESPECIALLY Hochul taking L's would be delightful.

Before you get too excited, let me preface that I do not condone violence or abusing anyone, but you always keep pointing out how Walker is a baby killer via abortion. This coming from a guy that supports Roe vs. Wade.

Lol just using the rights vernacular to point out their own hypocrisy on this candidate. They don’t mind it if it suits their needs.
