I only caught some of it, it wasn't pretty. I didn't see the beginning, but Twitter was saying his opening statement was "Hi, goodnight everybody"
Here was a bit more. Is there not a process in place for a replacement nominee? Many are saying the race is over after last night, that's not fair to the people that voted for Fetterman in the primary. This is an awful situation:

Definitely concerning. Not any more concerning that the cognitive function of our President. In reality, most Senators don't require any mental capacity other than to remember how the Party wants them to vote on any legislation. Heck, they don't even have to do that right now as they continue to have the capability of voting by proxy because of the ongoing "pandemic emergency".

Apparently there was a process possible until the last few weeks.

PA Dem leadership either got lied to about his condition or are objectively stupid people.

People complain about how old, out-of-touch, and brain-dead our leaders are yet we keep voting for them. Chuck Grassley is a fossil and is going to cruise to re-election. Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Mitch McConnell would win elections at age 100 if they lived that long. Our next Presidential election could very well be between 2 old farts in Biden (81/82) and Trump (78) who quite possibly have dementia. Bernie Sanders is the JUNIOR Senator in Vermont. He's just a kid at the young age of 81. Richard Shelby is 88 and is still a Senator.

Heck, Biden and Trump could run against someone from the opposite party who is much younger, articulate, and is more mentally there and they'd both at least get 46-47% of the vote. Trump would get 2/3 of the vote in a state like Oklahoma and over 60% in states like TN and Kentucky, and Biden would get over 60% of the vote in California and Massachusetts.

I think Fetterman will still win. Apparently around 600K votes have already been cast early. My guess is at least 70% of those votes are for Fetterman, particularly if a good chunk are early mail-in votes.

Well they will elect him Gov. and then watch him not do anything heading into 2024 but run for president. I guess thats ok? I expect Newsome to do the same at some point. He seems to be the DeSantis for the Dems.
Comparing Florida and California for a year is a dream cycle for the GOP.

Yeah, if the mail-ins are already submitted then the debate probably doesn't make a difference. Either way, I've said it before, this is easily the worst race this election cycle. Both candidates should be replaced.

Additionally, Oz and other down-ballot Republicans have an anchor at the top of the Governor's race in Mastriano. He's a horrible candidate and a dominion machine truther.

Didn't want to clutter the funny picture thread up but thought this was pretty jokes.

Good call, I try to keep it out of there myself.
I saw a headline about a 19 year old in a high school, but have not read the article yet. I've been busy and haven't kept up with the latest, but when it comes to schools I still advocate that they need to be in full lockdown with a certain number of security officers per x number of students. Until schools are no longer easy targets they'll continue to be targets for these sickos. With ~400 million guns in circulation in the US and the capabilities of ghost guns getting better all the time you just can't possibly confiscate them all even if you wanted to. It's much easier and feasible to protect the kids with multiple security features than it is to confiscate the weapons. This should be a #1 priority.

Oz isn’t ideal, but he is miles ahead of Fetterman. The guy isn’t healthy, the media and his campaign have covered up his health, and his only priority is putting violent criminals on the streets. He’s shrek in shorts.

Who said that?
It's disinformation that Democrats have been using the last 6 months. They're fear mongering to influence voters. The claims are usually based on this or similar comments:

It’s literally not 😂

In Arizona, for example, Republican Senate hopeful Blake Masters recently endorsedprivatizing Social Security, despite running in a state with quite a few retirees. Similarly, in Florida — another state where a handful of retirees reside — Republican Sen. Rick Scott has been surprisingly aggressive about putting Social Security at risk.

But in Wisconsin, Republican Sen. Ron Johnson has been even more cavalier about throwing caution to the wind, recently endorsing the ideaof moving Medicare and Social Security into Congress’ discretionary budget — in the process, ending guaranteed and automatic benefits — where they could be subjected to annual cuts.

More talk about privatizing and putting SS into the stock market.

I’ve seen many GOP say that they will cut SS to “save” it

LOL you’re using a Bernie hit piece. It’s desperate and pathetic. I guess the top two priorities of assuring gender affirming care and unrestricted abortion access didn’t resonate as people can’t afford gas and groceries while the economy is in recession and crime is spiking. Who woulda thought?
